Residents raised concerns about potholes & the poor condition of Balls Pond Road, particularly the most damaged section. As an important route through the area, Mildmay Ward councillors pushed for action & this stretch has now been fully resurfaced. @IslingtonLabour delivering.

At last week’s Children & Young People Scrutiny we reviewed school results across Islington. Proud to highlight the brilliant work of one of Highbury Fields Secondary school that has been recognised by the Education Minister. A testament to the dedication of staff and pupils.

Following reports regarding so called “school wars”, parents should be reassured that police are increasing patrols across Central North (Islington / Camden), particularly at school closing times, and will take robust action against any disorder. Report concerns via 101 or 999.

Pleased to launch the Council’s new Youth Safety Strategy to 2030 with Cllr Safi Ngongo. Violence & knife crime among under-25s is falling, but one serious incident is too many. This strategy puts partnership at its heart & is key to keeping young people and communities safe 🩷.

The winter round of police ward panels is nearly complete &I’ve attended most across Islington. A clear theme has been concern about drugs & the harm they’re causing. Safety in Mildmay and across Islington is vitally important to me and I’ll be raising this with Islington Police.
