A long-awaited day: @SADOmich client Terance Calhoun is exonerated! He reunited w/ his family today after 15 yrs in prison. Lots of tears. Big hugs. Many people fought to bring Mr. Calhoun home. I'm honored to have worked on his case as part of SADO's Wrongful Conviction Unit 🧵

On #WrongfulConvictionDay, I’m thinking of @SADOmich client Terance Calhoun, who was exonerated in April after 15 yrs. His case involved a false “confession,” mistaken witness IDs & exculpatory DNA evidence that wasn’t turned over to the defense for many years. We must do better.
