I’m sorry that you peaked as leading point scorer on your JV team and it still hurt you… But you don’t need to trauma dump that feeling of perpetual inadequacy on kids just trying to play a sport.

The amount of letters I’ve had to write in the past month to “club sport” coaches asking them stop making kids play/compete through pain is absolutely astounding. I will never be able to fathom how these “adults” place their egos over the well being of children. Frauds.

I have a rehab confession. 3 of my favorite exercises to give as an HEP are: -Clamshells -Supine Hamstring Stretch -Bridge 3x10 Why? Because they require no equipment, take minimal time, and address common clinical findings for a variety of issues (hip/knee/back).

I think that sometimes we hamstring ourselves by over complicating things on our initial interactions. When we start from a clean slate, it’s always best to simplify. We need to master basic addition and subtraction before we just throw someone into calculus.
