Meet our PODmoore: Voices at @Bellmoore_HWDSB Marketing & Advertising Team! 🌟🌟🌟 These INCREDIBLE, INNOVATIVE, CREATIVE student leaders met with Mrs. Cote from the Hamilton Community Foundation earlier this week to discuss ways to seek sponsorship and donations from our community to further develop our school podcast. They shared ideas about their plans to GROW our podcast to elevate even more student voices at Bellmoore. 🙌🏿🙌🏻🙌🏼 When speaking about an upcoming podcast focused on Ramadan, Jack spoke about how more than 40 Bellmoore students would like to be involved. He spoke very honestly about how we don’t have enough equipment yet to support all of these students as one of the reasons we are seeking support from our community. Jack explained it perfectly: “Think about the 40 students who want to be involved in our next podcast about Ramadan. How can we turn any of these students away? The simple answer is: we can’t.“ You are right, Jack. We can’t and we won’t. This learning opportunity for this group of grade 6, 7, and 8 students was so very impactful. They learned about how to build sponsorship packages, what language to use when seeking donations, and even how to follow up with potential supporters. THIS is learning that will prepare our students for opportunities beyond Bellmoore. We are so very proud! 💫💫💫 We thank Mrs. Cote for taking time to guide our students. Your advice and support is so greatly appreciated. Our students are so inspired to continue this important work so they can drive positive change, and amplify student voices so Bellmoore IS a place where every student feels safe, happy, and knows they belong. 🙏🏼🙏🏿🙏🏼 We also thank Kate McCullough and Cathie Coward from @TheSpec for inspiring these students to think of new ways to grow PODmoore. Your visit and advice truly inspired this work. We are so grateful to be surrounded by such incredible leaders in our knowledge building community. 🙏🏽🙏🏿🙏🏼 We see you. We appreciate you. We thank you. 🙏🏼 Bellmoore is better with you. 🐾💛💚 Together at Bellmoore, we GROW to: THINK creatively and collaboratively. 💭 ACT with kindness and empathy. 🫶🏽 LEAD with humility. 🙏🏾 Shared with permission. @SMilinovich @HamCommFdn @amyleamingcote @katejmccullough
