Italy: Counterfeit 2-euro coins, indistinguishable from genuine coins even to the European Central Bank, were produced in clandestine mints in Prato and Quarrata by a group linked to Chinese organized crime. The operation involved importing nickel and nickel-brass alloy from China, clearing them through customs in Germany and Belgium, and minting coins that replicated designs from all EU countries, including commemorative editions. Over 20,000 fake coins and one ton of raw materials have been seized, but this is considered only a small portion of the total forged. The coins matched originals in weight and magnetism, successfully deceiving machines and slots. Five suspects, all Chinese nationals, were detained for criminal association. Authorities suspect the group received inside information from law enforcement to evade investigations.

Yes it would. You are stealing from peoples real capital, by making each unit have less purchasing power. If you can just print 10,000$ per month, your basic needs are going to be covered. Its going to require more money to incentivize you to do something. You still have the same value, but now the "money" used to get you to spend your time, is worth LESS to you, so in order to get you to do the same same, at the same quality cost MORE units of that "money"

Some shocking news from the British navy I have a friend who’s decently high up in the British navy, but he was in a room with the top brass a few weeks after the Iran war began. They literally ask “uhh are we at war?” And they awkwardly question if we are for 10 minutes with much silence and confusion. Then someone brings up their pensions and it turns into a conversation about if they’ll get their pensions. From the numerous British military contacts I have, everyone is very pissed off at the state of the military and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see coups in the future

The most AWKWARD moment of my life was when I split an Uber with a random gay couple. Train broke down and we were heading in the same direction. I sat in the front seat, them in the back. All normal until the Taliban head of foreign intelligence video call me with AK-47 in hand with several armed bodyguards in the background. Spoke for 10 mins about whatever. Called me his friend. Cracked some jokes. Asked how the family is etc. Afterwards I looked back only to see their mouths ajar, eyes wide, blood drained from their baby faces, visible fear and panic.
