Absolute chutxpah to be this choosy as a literal beggar and know that you will be put in expensive temp accommodation either way. This piece is infuriating. The culmination of our Zero Gratitude welfare state.

I've been going down the rabbit hole of the attempts to reform the Mental Health Act since 2017, it's totally insane. The fact that black men are disproportionately affected by sectioning and other 'restrictive practices' is literally used as a front and centre reason to raise the bar for sectioning anyone. When you read this stuff you see that many people literally view this as the primary problem, and they will try and find any way they can to reduce it, regardless of clinical factors. As is the pattern with the Labour party, the actual Mental Health Act 2025 that made it into law could have been a lot more insane if various far-left MPs and peers had got their way. Lib Dem Baroness Tyler wanted to encode a specific duty to reduce racial disparities into the act: bills.parliament.uk/bills/3884/sta…, as did the NHS race and health observatory publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm5901/cmpu…? and Lib Dem MP Danny Chambers bills.parliament.uk/bills/3884/sta…. These people should be far, far away from the levers of government. The idea that we should raise the bar to detain potentially violent people due to racial disparities is unhinged.
Will Solfiac@willsolfiac

I'm doing research for an article on the harms caused by anti-racism. An obvious recent one is the murders by Valdo Calocane in 2023, where the 'overrepresentation of young black males in detention' was deemed relevant in the decision to discharge him. If you read the 2018 Independent Review of the Mental Health Act, in the section "Steps to tackle the disproportionate number of people from ethnic minority communities detained under the act", you find that they recommend "Raising the bar for individuals to be detained under the Mental Health Act, as well as any subsequent use of Community Treatment Orders." So not because of any medical or risk assessment, but simply because not all ethnic groups are equally represented in mental health detentions, the bar for detaining someone is raised. A very important thing for the next government to do is to pass legislation making it very clear that this kind of 'disproportionate impact' can never be a reason to change a policy. There's many, many areas where this is relevant, and where a new principle to govern policy is sorely needed.

Strap in folks. We probably lose Starmer if this happens, that means Shabana Mahmood is toast, her immigration reforms are toast, the Boriswave settle and you probably get Angela Rayner til 2029.

The Shi'a are massively overplaying their hand. The simple reality is that there is no winning in a war if you cannot hit the other side's territories. Iran cannot hit America. It can prevent America from winning a war, but it cannot win a war.

Neighbours have finally broken their silence on the horror house in Banks, Lancashire, and the truth about Axel Rudakubana is as ugly as expected. This Rwandan import, the 17-year-old son of Alphonse and Laetitia Rudakubana, was raised in a cauldron of screams, grunts, and objects hurled against walls. He hadn’t stepped out alone in over two years. On the morning of 29 July 2024 his parents and brother simply watched him leave anyway. Empty knife boxes littered the place. He glared through English neighbours like they were already corpses. The signs were everywhere; the imported family ignored them, obstructed authorities, and let the monster walk free into a Taylor Swift dance class, which begs the question, they should be held accountable at the very least. Three native English girls, Bebe, Alice, Elsie butchered. Ten more slashed and scarred for life. All because Britain imported this family from Rwanda’s chaos and pretended they could be turned into civilised locals. The public inquiry mutters about “moral failure” by the parents and systemic breakdowns. Fine. But the root failure is national: a deliberate policy of flooding English villages with Third World imports whose cultural DNA carries violence, dysfunction, and zero loyalty to our people. Axel Rudakubana did not spring from English soil. He arrived with it, was sheltered by it, and unleashed it on our daughters. The family has scarpered into hiding, no doubt on the taxpayer’s dime. The neighbours endure a living nightmare. The house is for sale like tainted goods. And still the elite refuses to say the obvious: mass immigration from incompatible corners of the globe imports incompatible savagery. Native English children are not collateral damage in some enrichment experiment. England belongs to the English. Our streets, our villages, our daughters’ safety come first, before any foreign import, any asylum sob story, any diversity quota. Hold them to account and then Deport the remnants of this family. End the importation. Reclaim our country before the next Rudakubana strikes. Nothing less will suffice.

Reform needs to ensure that this is applied retrospectively, including revoking asylum grants issued to those who arrived illegally. Assuming Reform win in 2029, many of the nearly 200,000 small boat migrants will have been granted asylum; they cannot be allowed to stay.

As horrific as it sounds, Starmer needs to survive: 1 - His immigration minister Tapp (who's extend ILR to delay the Boriswave from becoming citizens in 5 yrs) will be definitely fired by his successor. 2 - Appointing whoever he wanted is the most based thing Keir's ever done.
