Minecraft dungeons comes out in fall
the next minecraft live is also this fall
What if MAYBE the next major update, that will tie in dungeons 2 with vanilla, gets announced around the time of its release?

A sandbox game just means you can do anything in its confines and there's no clear goal. A sense of progression would still be nice and make it feel good as a single player experience

@Angora_Felis they actually did twice already! illagers originally come from minecraft dungeons since jeb wanted the mobs that dungeons would introduce, to be implemented in vanilla first. same with piglins and legends during legends development

@cheemsie99 @harristic_ You can get through most of the survival content in a single day of playing on a new world, it's so easy to get good gear and kill the dragon and there's really no point in continuing a world past that except to build it's very unfortunate

@kayden_chr @utdrtakes Because there is only a small part of it. The "full" motif (which is just the slice of the motif from the world revolving) isn't in hammer of justice it's a tweaked form of it

@YGFDoodles @Owlro @PersonthePerso2 Netherite isn't really required for progression though, it's built up as a powerful optional endgame gear but the ender dragon (the only actual progression milestone in this game) is easily dealt with with diamonds or iron, and piglins make getting to the end comically easy

@Owlro @PersonthePerso2 Nether Update is a great example to the contrary, because they would later update Netherite to require an ADDITIONAL item, the Netherite Upgrade, just to make getting it take longer.

I hate how Minecraft updates are either something that makes progression in the game even easier or something you’ll never encounter in game unless your looking for it
