None of those will actually fix the game (except for just simply removing trigger nades lol). But there's an issue with the core gameplay in the sense that there's no purpose. Small example is dota and CS are the 2 most games played and don't lose players because they have a ranking system and people are rewarded for getting better at the game with a higher rank.

After going through the comments, here’s a little summary of what was requested based on the replies to the question I asked: 🟡PvE mode / PvE servers (by far the most requested) 🟡More new content (maps, guns, quests, endgame) 🟡Better progression & rewards (skill tree and crafting updates, new incentives) 🟡PvP issues (matchmaking, TTK, ratting, toxicity) 🟡New systems (loadouts, walkable hub) 🟡QoL & fairness (anti-cheat, bans, fewer false bans)

Highest inventory leaderboard - Make things actually harder to get. For example the change involving a rocketeer driver to make wolfpack was great. But nobody crafts them, we just find them in grenade bags. same with the fruit for scrappy, but these are micro solutions to a grand issue of "what's the reason we're playing this game for"

I hate when people try to be intellectual about games by just saying random buzzwords. CS players been playing the same game mode on dust using the same gun for 50 fuckin years. It doesn't have shit to do with updates no matter how much the internet tries to point that as the blame. Reality is, the core gameplay of arc raiders just isn't something that's gonna keep players for 10k hours like some other titles. People played the fuck out of it for a couple months straight, had a blast, then got bored. Arc raiders is one of the least competitive extraction shooters out there, and competition is what makes a lot of live service games thrive long term especially in the shooter space. Constant updates is a bandaid fix that brings people back for update day, then the numbers just dip even lower after a week. Just like destiny. It's big spikes, then bigger drops. Updates can't hide shallow gameplay forever. The gameplay loop just isn't one to invest all your free time into. And that's okay. Every game doesn't have to consume your life.

@AbelExfil @AngryArcRaider @Pirat_Nation We need new weapons, clear deadlines on events, maybe a boss PvE mode with more arcs on the ground. Maybe some fresh interactions with new conditions to change gameplay. Skins customization: mix and match, and pick colors for each individual part.

ARC Raiders has lost around 81% of its players since launch, peaking at 466,000 concurrent players on Steam. Four months later, the player base has dropped to 80-90k players, so nearly 81%. People are getting bored of the repetitive content in PvE gameplay, and many have complained about the cheater problem. I think a major update with a new map and fresh enemies is what the game needs right now.

@DqRoman1 I've NEVER said that in my life - New guns bring new stuff to the game, and is acceptable, it won't change anything as far as giving us a purpose to play the game though.

Look, every game loses some players once the hype fades. ARC Raiders is still a great game, but I’d like to know what percentage of players left because of the lack of a PvE mode. I predicted this at launch, and people kept arguing with me about it.

Here's how the new update is gunna go - new map will be released, people will run around, be like, cool map. And then quit cuz there's nothing to actually do but do the same thing we're doing on the new map that we've been doing on all the other maps for the past 6 months. A new map and guns wont change anything

I've seen talk about Arc Raiders playercounts dropping significantly since launch. It's a really fun game, but the devs only have themselves to blame. You NEED to be updating your game with new maps, guns, modes and skins if you want players to return and they haven't done that.🤷‍♀️ DO BETTER and your players will stick around. Otherwise, there's millions of other experiences to choose from.
