This woman is trying to save a squirrel stuck in a trap without it getting eaten by an alligator…
Once she got the trap up, she realized the alligator couldn’t actually reach the squirrel, but the squirrel had no idea there was a way out and stayed frozen in fear. And honestly, I don’t blame it... but I'm not sure if the squirrel is more afraid of her or the alligator because she keeps trying to grab it's tail and screaming 😭
It was chaotic, a little scary, and kind of hilarious all at once.
Would you have tried to help, or would you have noped out the second you saw the alligator?

@ibay770 @BadgedPatriot If something comes up I’ll let you know

@AngryDockDog @BadgedPatriot Pretty good! Not sure what you are looking for, but if you have any remote ops, I'd be happy to take a look.

Got an alarm call to a small business where I happen to know the owner personally. When I got there (pre-opening time) I knocked on the glass doors & a female with neck tattoos & face piercings came to the door & said "Yeah, what u need?" I said "We had an alarm". She said "Yeah well you aren't needed here". I said "Do u want to open the door so I can clear the building?". She said "Only if you have a warrant do I care to speak to you. We will open soon come back then." I said "Are u the owner to be able to deny consent?" She said "When I'm here, yes".
Now, at this point I could have stayed outside & called the owner to get consent if I really wanted to press the issue.
I did call the owner after I went back to my cruiser, not for consent to enter, but to tell her of the interaction. She said "I hated hiring her because I knew she'd be trouble but help is so hard to find. We don't even drug test anymore. I'm so sorry".
If I owned a business I'd work myself before I'd settle on who represents my business . But that's just me🫤👮♂️

@washghost1 You’d think they would just put it on clearance to get people in the store. I used to love the clearance aisle. The problem is you fill your house full of crap you don’t need.
English

@AngryDockDog @BadgedPatriot Thats a good mindset. What business do you run?
English

@scottwestacre Cow Chow. There’s a country song in here somewhere.

@AngryDockDog @BadgedPatriot Agreed bad hires take more resources than no one.

I don’t put much emphasis on degrees. While experience is valuable, I’m much more interested in finding people with the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and strong potential. If someone seems genuinely trainable and interviews well, I’m often willing to take a chance on them.
My interview approach is quite different from most managers. Rather than firing off a list of questions, I prefer having a real conversation. Often lasting up to two hours. My goal is to create a relaxed environment so I can get to know the real person.
English

@BadgedPatriot @AngryDockDog Today unfortunately, degrees are prioritized, not a good work ethic or attitude.

@washghost1 If it is something you would spray a mist into then it’s probably fine. Good for grills, smelly trash cans, etc. I’ve never used mine in the house.

@libsoftiktok @RightVet23 I’m glad he is gone. I’m sure his family is too. They probably made bank.

Never forget that Jacob Frey showed up to cry over the casket of George Floyd, a violent career criminal who died of a drug overdose
His outrage is as fake as his tears.
Mayor Jacob Frey@MayorFrey
Today, we remember George Floyd, who was murdered by a former Minneapolis police officer six years ago. That moment changed our city forever.

@FarmerCrafted This would actually make mowing the lawn fun!

@CatherineInSea @BadgedPatriot Thank you. I have 16 employees, and most have been with me for over 6 years. A few have been with me for more than 10 years.

@AngryDockDog @BadgedPatriot Your team is incredibly lucky to have a leader who protects the workplace culture like that!
English

@AngryDockDog @BadgedPatriot You nailed it. If it’s not a hell yes it’s a hell no! You can train a skill, but never an attitude.
English

@DaleHarrell16 @BadgedPatriot Yes, sadly. Some places are toxic. It seems family owned is either great or terrible. A lot of times if it’s 2nd or 3rd generation it is terrible.
English

@BadgedPatriot @AngryDockDog Where I work management is terrible. 'Family owned" is not always a good thing. Every time I anticipate someone getting fired I am on alert and ready for defense if needed. These days you never know when someone is going to the vehicle and coming back to shoot the place up.
