Santucci was arguably as DOMINANT as Jonah Tong across 16 of 19 Final Starts -> including starts after his quick promotion to AA. Stats from Final 16 of 19 Starts -> where Santucci was dominant: 85.2 IP | 11 ER | 49 Hits | 27 BB | 102 K | 1.16 ERA | 0.78 WHIP | 0.164 BAA In these 16 starts -> 31% K-Rate | 8% BB-Rate Santucci’s AA starts stacked up with the highest ranked LHP prospects in the Minors -> #RedSox Payton Tolle & #Marlins Thomas White J. SANTUCCI 50 IP | 63 K | 14 ER | 2.52 ERA | 1.02 WHIP | .189 BAA | 33 H | 18 BB T. WHITE 45 IP | 75 K | 8 ER | 1.59 ERA | 1.19 WHIP | .183 BAA | 30 H | 24 BB P. TOLLE 27 IP | 37 K | 5 ER | 1.67 ERA | 0.74 WHIP | .144 BAA | 13 H | 7 BB J. SANTUCCI -> 32% K-RATE || 9% BB-RATE T. WHITE -> 39% K-RATE || 13% BB-RATE P. TOLLE -> 37% K-RATE || 7% BB-RATE These stats look awfully similar -> both Tolle & White were ranked among Top 35 Prospects, why Santucci didn’t even make the Top 100 is baffling. Santucci was functioning as a SP -> whereas Tolle & White were utilized more as openers. Santucci’s Fastball velocity is very similar to White’s -> despite not throwing as hard as Tolle, Santucci has a much better secondary pitches, including his wipeout Slider which arguably a 65+ Grade pitch. Santucci was a Two-Player at Duke early in his career -> despite having limited experience as a full-time SP he still dominated in his pro debut. He was primarily a 2-pitch Pitcher -> as he continues to develop the rest of his arsenal, he has the makings of a #2 SP or better. He also shook off concerns about his command issues & durability. He flashed impressive Fastball velocity during the Spring Breakout game & and like we’ve seen from McLean, we should see an uptick in Velocity during the 2026 season. If Santucci duplicates his success from 2025 -> he should be ranked among the Top 50 Prospects in the MLB by mid-season #LGM #MetsTwitter
