🔴 Finally, My Realistic Dream Liverpool Team for 2026/27 🔥 (If we're keeping Slot) Right, after going through everything this week. Shaky defence, midfield getting overrun, and the real chance we lose both Salah and Alisson. This is not "football manager", I'm being real here! Here's how I'd actually rebuild it. 1) Coaching Crew Head Coach: Arne Slot (give him one more year). Assistant Coach: John Heitinga (bring him back. Slot wants him and he already knows the system inside out). High-Level Consultant: Xabi Alonso (tactical brain with proper Liverpool DNA). Set-Piece Specialist: Stephen Rice from Brentford to finally fix those soft goals. 2) The Team (4-3-3. High press, vertical, intense) - GK: Diogo Costa. Elite distributor if Alisson leaves. - Defence: Frimpong at RB, Van Dijk partnered with Schlotterbeck for athleticism, Kerkez at LB. Solid shape with overlapping full backs. - Midfield: Bruno Guimarães for steel at No.6, Gravenberch as the box-to-box engine, Szoboszlai for thrust at No.8. These three will give us control and aggression in transitions. - Attack: Gakpo on the left (😏), Isak (Ekitike) up top as the clinical finisher, Barcola on the right as the explosive Salah replacement. 3) We keep the core (VVD and Gravenberch) and build a side that presses high and plays forward fast.
