Agreed. IMO it's a product issue, not a coverage one. Messed with what worked for points. Messed with the cars. Became about things not called "racing". Like anything that gets big, got bloated. I re-watched the 92 Darlington race last night on youtube. Enjoyed the racing more, the production value was "less" but better than today and the announcers were perfect comparatively speaking. The product that made it popular isn't the product they have now. I don't know how/if you can go back but it's stark - the difference.

@RacingBattle done through all of the bs over the years, no doubt. I just wish they worked out a deal to put these things on FOX/NBC more so than the other networks. It shard to regrow your fan base when the ones who want to watch can't.

@RacingBattle 100% true. I have 2 friends I work with that both are just starting to watch. They asked me what channel the rsce was on the last 2 weeks, and I told them the full season run down. 1 I going to watch through illegal streams, and the other just wont watch. Damage is definitely

@Kiso19941 @S1apSh0es 2015 was a damn good race. Finally had a good aero package, just needed more power and less sideforce. Then they ruined the track for 2016.

@S1apSh0es can anyone post a memorable racing moment of this track that's positive that isn't cole custer or kurt busch winning? Like I just legit can't think of any.

All those millions in construction and lawsuits to get a cup race and it ended up being the most boring track on the circuit and is used as a parking lot by Toyota for its overflow from the factory.

Oh what happened yall? I thought this new format was to help bring people back into the sport? Thats not happening and in fact I told you this would happen before the season started. This format isn’t working. NASCAR needs to stand up and say we messed up and the winner this year will be locked into the playoffs and we are going back to that system starting immediately. Thats what needs to happen today

I would love to do a study of NASCAR fans by age group that actually care about this. The core base is right around 50+ and most boomers can’t tell the difference. So by the numbers, it makes sense to use it. But outside of creatives, I’m curious to see if anyone else cares.

@zboyko7 @bobpockrass I don't think its quite fair to look at today and slam him. The incredible save he had on lap 1 caused splitter/underbody damage. You can't overcome that in this car. Look at his improvement the later part of last year & Phoenix last week, & that tells you all you need to know.

I really really just wanna see ONE intermediate race with 750 HP and an adjusted diffuser to see what it would do. This current package has run its course and it should be time for a change on these types of tracks. Drivers would definitely love it and us fans would too
