Watched both versions. I knew they were going to bitch out on the American version. The original was about the consequences of being a weak man. The American version had the weak man without the consequences. Complete misuse of James McAvoy.

@interstatejuche It's some weird bullshit where a dude in Africa gets offended on behalf of Japan over a joke about something that happened 80 years ago in America. Just wait until he lobs out a 9/11 joke and watch the third world's collective head explode.

These rancid pieces of shit. This is essentially democrats trying to change the rules to diddle the next election then change it back to protect their fuckery. These people deserve to be pilloried.

@Arin_Yumi The people criticizing PM Takaichi were going to do it regardless but they're especially mad it went well for her. The more victories she lands the worse it is for them next election cycle, and many are already teetering on the brink of nonexistence.

Takaichi just won. Everything went perfectly for her at this summit. The ultimate fear in Japan was that Trump was going to press her on military support in Iran, and if she refused, turn on Japan the way he’s now lashing out at NATO. Takaichi instead was able to clearly convey that Japan would not be able to participate due to constitutional limitations, and actually got Trump to accept that reasoning.
Martha MacCallum@marthamaccallum

I interviewed President Trump by phone. He doubled down on his anger at NATO and said all we need is “numbers” in the Strait to open it, Iran has nothing left. Also, when asked if Japan gave any assurance of military support given that 90 percent of their oil comes from the Strait, the President say they have Constitutional restraints but would be there for us if we needed them, saying “Japan is better ally than NATO.” More to come on The Story. 3 pm and on The Five tonight.

Yes, I understand South Korea will have certain feelings about that but they can get over it. It's more valuable to symbolically bury the hatchet with our greatest ally than it is to appease one prone to meltdowns that constantly flirts with our adversaries.

@TokyoTom2020 @gamu0514 No, it was a stupid question. Normally he isn't as nice about it. Any time they ask him about strategy he gives the same answer, that he isn't going to reveal his plan and they are idiots for asking.

Since I’m Japanese, I can easily imagine how Japan’s anti-American, anti-Trump media will handle his statements… I just wanted American followers — who are U.S. citizens — to know that. Prime Minister Takaichi, who is fluent in English, deliberately speaks in Japanese even when facing American media. This is a deliberate measure against biased reporting and a demonstration of strong crisis management ability.😑
燃えたいゴミ!!@gamu0514

Japan’s mass media (trash media) is already picking up on President Trump’s Pearl Harbor remark… No matter how much Americans insist, “It was just a joke between close allies!” Japan’s anti-American media will never treat it that way…..😑 トランプ氏「真珠湾攻撃教えてくれなかった」対イラン巡る質問に | 毎日新聞 mainichi.jp/articles/20260…

@BradRTorgersen This all day. I will give their opinion more weight simply because they put everything on the line for their country, but 1000 pounds of shit is still shit, and rolling a turd in sugar doesn't make it a donut.

The vet world is an odd sphere. It's populated by some of the most amazing men and women I've ever had the pleasure of knowing and working with. Absolute units and sterling Americans. The kind of people who make you proud to have been at parade rest in the formation with them. And . . . it's got some truly cracked motherfuckers who have personality disorders, delusions of grandeur, zero moral compass, and are shameless opportunists. Blue Falcons who'll throw you beneath the wheels as soon as look at you. If I had a $50 bill for every time some sleeve-tatted OIF or OEF guy with a backwards-flag t-shirt and vetbro beard said some truly insane, cringe shit on social media, I wouldn't have to work anymore. After a quarter century flowing through the Army, rubbing up against all three components, being part of a CJIATF/SOJTF for OIR, etc., I can state emphatically that there is nothing about being a vet—yes, even a decorated combat vet—that immunizes a guy's after-service actions or words. Very often the vet shield is thrown up precisely when it ought to not be. Either by the vet, or the vet's friends, family, and followers. Whether it's John McCain, Dan Crenshaw, Randy Cunningham, or some GWOT guy doing and saying some absurd shit for clicks and follows. Doesn't matter. Your DD 214 doesn't proof you against your statements and positions being criticized or interrogated. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

@MightyMogomra It was alright with other Americans because I could decode the accent. Here I'm with people from all over the world and it sounds like Mos Eisley.

Japanese class is a perfect storm of accent diarrhea. Can't understand half of what the other students are saying. Unfortunately it's the nature of the beast. People that speak perfect Japanese don't need Japanese classes.
