OFFICIAL SILKEN HEART NEWS. THE DRAFT IS FINISHED. OFFICIAL PAGE COUNT. Production time calculated to be 10-14 months. This makes this the largest Hollow Knight comic ever made. Thank you to all of those that have been following. (Further details below.) This post is about the fan comic that our team is working on called "Silken Heart". Now that we know the official page count, we now have a very good idea how long it will take us to finish, and we calculate it to be around 10-14 months. This means that for our team, if we decide to fully finish it, will likely be our final project, so we'll give it everything we got. What will be the deciding factor is the four beta readers we have chosen to read the draft. If they believe that finishing Silken Heart is worth it for the community, then we will do it. We are doing our absolute best to both involve the community, and respect it as much as we can. We are respecting it by both directly involving the Hollow Knight community, and by offering all of this free to read. None of Silken Heart is monetized or will be for sale in anyway, the goal is for Silken Heart to be a form of art for the sake of art. If however Team Cherry does not wish for us to proceed with this project, we will have no qualms with it, and will stop at any point in production if they so request. Please understand that you do not need to support us monetarily on any of our pages to enjoy or appreciate Silken Heart. We want zero monetary incentive to make this manga, so if you truly wish to support us, you can do it by sharing or showing people what we are making. However we noticed that many people were wanting a physical copy, and since Silken Heart is 254 pages, that makes it the same length as standard manga volumes. So we'll be providing digital files so that you may commission 3rd parties to make your own physical copies to have if you so desire. We are sorry, but it is not legal for us to provide them ourselves outside of a convention. Silken Heart was drawn with physical copies in mind, so for those that like having physical media, this is the only way we can provide that, and we got you! We are also looking into getting official translations for Japanese, Spanish, and other languages for fans around the world, but we will cross that bridge once we approach the full release. For a final note, for those that are curious what the story is about, it primarily focuses on Hornet's past, and does it's best to respect the canon material as much as possible. For a hint... The entire manga was made based on a single Silksong journal entire. We will be giving one last update after this that will state if we are going full in on production, you should see that announcement in a week or two after we get everything back from the beta readers.
