Artık önemli olan bu etkinliğin heyecanının arkasını getirebilmek ve inşa eden bir topluluk olmaya daha da güçlü bir şekilde devam edebilmek olacak.
Umuyorum ki bu hafta Devconnect’e katılanlar, unutamayacağı anılar biriktirebilmiş, normal şartlarda tanışması mümkün olmayacak kişilerle tanışmış ve Ethereum’un vizyonunu az da olsa benimsemeye başlamıştır.

4844, DA compression, and proof aggregation are all coming to reduce the cost.
I know the community and users are waiting - we are building. Lots of changes are under test and audit right now, it is taking longer than expected, but we expect Scroll mainnet to be 10x cheaper in the coming months with a sequence of upgrades!
At that time Scroll will be the zkEVM with
+ The best compatibility (bytecode level compatible, support precompiles like ecPairing, support tx type like EIP1559)
+ The highest security (full proof, raw tx data on-chain)
+ The shortest finality with negligible cost (4844, DA compression, proof aggregation)
Anyone can build with the stack that is compatible with zk proof and lower the cost even more if you don't care about finality.
This year, Scroll's roadmap is around users. Lots of new features have been planned that will surprise everyone, stay tuned ✨

One interesting fact: Anyone can build an Optimistic rollup with full proof within weeks through the current Scroll tech stack. It can be as cheap as any Optimistic rollup on the mainnet right now. There’s no need to do bisection - the challenge protocol can be non-interactive through a zkEVM proof. The power of a matured system with complete zk proof is huge. It's way better to adopt a system that is compatible with zk proof on day one (even if you do it optimistically) instead of adding the proof system retroactively later.

In fact, there are already many L2s that have separate fee structures for execution fee and data fee, including Scroll and OP stack chains. With the 4844 data blobs, the separation fee for execution and data makes more sense as L2 txs can benefit directly from the fee reduction of 4844.
Our PR github.com/MetaMask/metam… aims to systematically solve this issue for such L2s. Unfortunately, MM currently only supports the separate fee structure for @Optimism and @base. But if @MetaMask team can follow up on this PR, it can address the issues for many L2s all at once.

Breaking EVM is a big decision which is why, for now, Linea kept its pricing to the L1 spec and manages multi-dimensional fees under the hood
