Indiana's fans at Hard Rock Stadium are loving what they are seeing from their defense

Carson Beck converts a 25-yard pass — just a yard short of the team’s total yardage up to that point — to CJ Daniels and Miami enters Indiana territory

I couldn't believe the Hurricanes didn't try something a little tricky. They've struggled in short yardage all game. To try it again was borderline reckless. But they got away with it. I thought they might fake power and try to get it to Malachi Toney on an end around or something along those lines

Love the decision by Mario Cristobal and Shannon Dawson to go for it there on fourth-and-1. Felt like if they punted it away, this game could get away from the Canes. And they trusted Mark Fletcher to get it and he did

Coming out of the timeout, Indiana stuck with the same personnel package and formation, which was actually 14 personnel — one running back, four(!) tight ends, with one of them in the backfield. The Hoosiers put left tackle Carter Smith as an offset tight end, motioned him behind the right guard and handed it to tight end Riley Nowakowski, who smashed up the A gap and powered his way in. Power football all the way for the Hoosiers to punch that one in and take a double-digit lead

Indiana in Miami territory after fourth-down conversion Q2 2:48 - Indiana 10, Miami 0 Mark Fletcher Jr. has a hole on second down, but gets tripped up, setting third-and-2... and Fletcher gets stuffed! Mario Cristobal opts to go for it on fourth-and-1 deep in Miami territory, and Fletcher is brought down right at the line to gain — it’s barely ruled a first down. But that gives Carson Beck an opportunity, and he hits CJ Daniels deep for a big gain across midfield! Finally some life for the Hurricanes

There’s Mark Fletcher. Miami’s bruising running back rumbles for five yards through contact to start this drive

Indiana is neutralizing all the things Miami does well. If the Canes aren't throwing your quarterback off his spot and throwing off his timing and their offensive front isn't moving you, they get average in a hurry. Miami needs a big play to flip this

Indiana is playing bully ball the way Miami did against Ole Miss last week. Dominant showing so far from that rushing offense

That's a third-and-5 and a third-and-8 on separate drives for Indiana converted on running plays — perfect gap scheme execution both times for the Hoosiers. The first led to a field goal. The second led to a touchdown. And a 10-0 lead right now feels like more than that

Miami has 18 yards on 11 plays, or 1.6 yards per play. That was its second straight three-and-out

That's Indiana's defense in a nutshell. Linebacker Rolijah Hardy deflects a pass, making a play that most linebackers can't make and then D'Angelo Ponds does what he does best and locks up in tight coverage. Miami is going to have to open things up downfield because Indiana is too good at taking the underneath stuff away

I know C.J. Stroud didn't want to take that sack after his receiver fell down, but he's gotta know that he can't get enough on that throw with a defender drilling him like that. His turnover woes continue as the Patriots take a 14-10 lead

C.J. Stroud vowed to protect the football this week and instead he's doubled down on recklessness here in New England. You cannot make that decision in a football game of this magnitude, single-handedly compromising Houston's chances to advance the AFC Championship Game

TOUCHDOWN: Patriots pick-six off Stroud! Q2 10:31 - Patriots 14, Texans 10 C.J. Stroud gets pressure in his face from K'Laivon Chaisson, is hit as he throws... the ball sails up in a rainbow and is intercepted by Marcus Jones! The defensive back returns it 26 yards for a game-changing touchdown! Wow. Wow. Wow

Houston wide receiver Christian Kirk has now notched a receiving TD in four straight playoff games. Last March, the Texans traded a 2026 seventh-round pick to the Jaguars in exchange for the 29-year-old former Texas A&M Aggie, who continues to prove that he's a difference-maker in the postseason
