You don’t need to fear the darkness. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝. Stop living as if the purpose of life is to arrive safely at death! 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 didn’t die to keep us safe. He 𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐮𝐬 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬. He died to make us a threat to satan. He died to make us a powerful influence in the world. Jesus didn’t die just to protect you from the devil. 𝐇𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥. Jesus affirmed this in Matthew 16:18: “I will build My church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.” Type AMEN! in the comments to affirm His victory over your life.

Many of us struggle because we don’t see ourselves as a light that can shine. We downplay our calling and amplify our excuses. But the truth is, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞. You must accept your identity in Christ to fulfill your responsibility in Christ. When you embrace that call, new horizons open. 𝐈𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐰 - 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞. The darker the environment, the brighter your light will shine. 𝐀𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐞. A lie about the definition of goodness. A lie that something good is in front of you and if you don’t take it, something good will be withheld from you. But remember: 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐨𝐰. Don’t let the enemy define what is good for you just because it is appealing to your desires right here and right now. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞. Ephesians 6:10-12 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”

𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬. Some relationships will slowly normalize compromise and pull you away from obedience. There are friendships that will weaken your purity. There are partnerships that will erode your integrity. Remember: 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. But you cannot walk together where there is no alignment. 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧! Distraction gets our attention – it says “this is urgent – you cannot miss this.” But distraction lies and deceives us to neglect prayer, the Word of God, worship, our families, and the things that matter. Distraction convinces you that you can always come back to the important things later. Distraction will only make you spiritually dull, prayerless, and unfocussed. It will pull you away from devotion and obedience to God. Hebrews 12:1-2 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐨 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐬. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐮𝐬, 𝐟𝐢𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡.
