@marcusleshock Our treat after a long day of yardwork was to order dinner from Dog n' Suds! Their root beer is the creamiest!

Have you ever been to DOG N SUDS?! It’s an old school drive-in restaurant where the servers come right to your car, and if you “dine in,” they attach the tray of food right to your window. The chain began back in 1953 in Champaign, Illinois when two music teachers at the University of Illinois opened a hot dog and root beer stand. At one point there were hundreds of these across the country. Today, there are only a handful left. This is the location in Grayslake, Illinois. They have dogs, burgers, all of the sides, desserts and yes - root beer. It was great to be back here. They had a bad fire about a year ago and rebuilt. Glad to see it is still operating and there were plenty of customers! So … have you been to a Dog N Suds? Or another drive-in like this?

@petersagal Renting a kayak from Aqua Verde and kayaking in the ship canal to either Lake Washington or Lake Union and then grabbing a lunch upstairs! I haven't been there in years, but their quesadilla with mango and green onions was very delicious!

@DrBradJohnson 1st - 3rd grade had 3 recesses per day, but 4th - 6th only got 2. And we wonder why students can't sit still - they have energy they need to expend!

I remember having 3 recesses per day in elementary school. And I needed them! and my teachers needed them!

What many may not know about Finland's success beginning in the 1970's is that they used US schools and research from US universities to help transform their schools. We on the other hand have seemed to forgotten all that we did great.
