We're very encouraged to see many of Kids' calls for reform included in the @CommonsEd 'Solving the SEND crisis' report - from early intervention to a clear definition of inclusion. Now the Government must listen and take action. Read our response here: kids.org.uk/news/response-…

Linking cuts to non work related benefits like PIP to 'incentivising disabled ppl to work' is misleading and ridiculous. PIP exists because it's more expensive to live as a disabled person. That's why its not means tested. Disabled ppl have higher living costs. Disgraceful cuts
Kids@KidsCharity

We are extremely concerned by the Government's confirmation in the Spring statement to cut disability benefits by £4.8 billion, including reducing eligibility for the Personal Independence Payment.

Framing reforms to an utterly broken SEND system in terms of costs to local government rather than how to get it right for children with special educational needs and disabilities is deeply worrying and some might say, quite disrespectful. theguardian.com/education/2025…

If you’re a policy person trying consult a room of 20+ young people on a pretty chunky and technical piece of local gov strategy, I cannot stress enough that rattling through a bunch of slides the same way you would with a room full of other policy professionals is not the one.

Brilliant to be at the Senedd yesterday speaking with Members about both the #GreatGetTogether this weekend and our #JoCoxCommission recommendations to tackle abuse in politics. Thanks to all those who came along to show their support, including the First Minister @PrifWeinidog.

Brilliant to launch the #JoCoxCommission call to action in Parliament this morning and demonstrate that abuse has no place in politics. Incredible cross-party support as we begin campaigning for the recommendations to be adopted. The report is out now ⬇️ jocoxfoundation.org/our-work/respe…

@_hollycameron Before I had Milo I used to answer that question by saying that I didn't have any living kids but that yes, I did have a child I lost during pregnancy. I found it essential to answer honestly and it helped remind me that I did have a child and for however briefly, she existed.

This is a brilliant piece exploring assumptions some make about people’s abilities, wants & experiences of having kids. After my miscarriage I swore I would never again ask if someone had children as I realised the pain those few words can stir. image.ie/self/fertility…

In honour of my mum, who was a big supporter of the autistic community, my wonderful friend is fundraising for @MarkfieldProj - a great charity and service in my mum's local area. Please donate if you can. justgiving.com/fundraising/an…

@jeffica Oh Jess. Welcome to the world of cats keeping you awake at night. I hope she isn't anything like Maisy who I had to buy a water pistol to try and stop her shenanigans or currently Mabel and Maggie who like to scratch my wardrobe at 4.30am most mornings for no good reason at all.

Guess who woke me up at 3 in the morning? Special thanks to the extra loud storm for keeping me awake and giving her the impression I will normally get up at 3am for her 🙄🙄🙄

Today is a good day: I connected a printer myself (and then it worked), I embedded a video into a PowerPoint presentation for the first time ever with no help and, best of all - my other half is getting the vaccine today. I could cry with relief.

@QueerlyAutistic Me too Erin. I am perplexed at everyone who is planning parties and assuming everyone will be meeting up again, like everything is going to miraculously be risk-free on 21st June. I actually find it quite strange that people think it's a given everything will be alright by then.

I'm feeling really shitty about the fact that I can't seen to tap into everyone else's enthusiasm about the roadmap and the 21st June date. Why won't my brain let me have that for two seconds?

Very excited to be speaking at the launch of the Hertfordshire #NeglectMatters campaign tomorrow alongside @dez_holmes. Neglect changes childhoods but so can we! If you have any concerns about a child or family you can ring the @NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000.
Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership@HertsSCP

We are looking forward to the launch of the Hertfordshire #NeglectMatters campaign on 25 Feb – a joint awareness campaign by @HertsSCB and @NSPCC. Look out for lunchtime learning sessions for professionals working in #Herts in the week beginning 1 March

Important step along the way to being able to hold the Government to account for their lack of action on employment for autistic people. Thanks to everyone who has supported us on this over the years!
