Sindbis #virus (SINV) was isolated in 1952 in #Egypt 🇪🇬 and can cause arthritic disease in humans. Thanks to @AnnaHeitmann2 and @steph_jansen_ et al. it was demonstrated that Culex and Aedes #mosquito 🦟 from Germany 🇩🇪 were able to transmit #Sindbis virus 🦠
