My dad once wrote a note to us and put it in a drawer. The note said "if you're scared to tell me something, just bring me this note as a reminder that I'm here to support you. I won't get mad; I will work with you on a solution." Best way to keep your kids talking to you.

“The emotions of the past weeks, anger, sadness, fear, and frustration, have been felt deeply across our community. We have always emphasized here that we are ‘Stronger Together’ and now more than ever we must live by that principle.” - GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah on recent events that have impacted the Twin Cities

Making the game accessible for all. Earlier in the 2025 season, the #Vikings participated in the @NFL’s OneCourt pilot, powered by @Ticketmaster, to provide a reliable real-time experience, allowing visually impaired fans to follow along with the action as it unfolded.

Napheesa Collier is the type of leader EVERYONE wants to follow. She's fearless, principled, incredibly smart, a tireless worker, empathetic, calculated, magnetic, personable; also importantly, Collier has fought to become the best in the world at what she does, and used that to platform and amplify her voice for revolutionary change. Phee is going to rewrite history because she possesses a rare, jackpot combination of leadership traits, which makes her one of the most respected superstars in sports by her peers. The world needs more people like Napheesa Collier. I sincerely hope that parents, coaches, and those in role model positions empower inspired young girls and boys to follow in her footsteps as leaders who takes principled stands for what is right, regardless of what the consequences may be, because they believe in something that is so much greater than oneself. Today is a historic day not just for the WNBA, but for labor in the greater sports ecosystem. It's on everyone to ensure history remembers Napheesa Collier for not only being one of the greatest women's hoopers we've ever seen, but more importantly as a courageous catalyst for seismic change that uplifts a historically marginalized workforce.

Napheesa Collier read a statement regarding what she called the WNBA's "lack of accountability from the league office" on issues surrounding officiating.

The characterization of DEI here and most places today makes me sad. Here's an example of DEI: The summer before my senior yr of HS, I participated in a minority journalism workshop at the Univ of Miami. It gave a kid who had no idea about that world important exposure (more)

#NEW: Indiana Gov. Mike Braun issues executive order eliminating DEI in state government. @WISHNews8 #Indianapolis According to the order, all state agencies should not: - Support diversity, equity, and inclusion positions, departments, activities, procedures or programs if they grant preferential treatment based upon one person's particular race, color, ethnicity, or national origin, over that of another person. - Require any person to participate in or receive any training, instruction, procedures, or programming if they endorse preferential treatment of one person's particular race, color, ethnicity or national origin, over that of another person. - Require any applicant for employment to provide a statement relating to diversity, equity, and inclusion or provide any applicant for employment preferential treatment for providing such a statement, over another person. - Mandate any person to disclose their pronouns.

New on @AthlonSports: Kirk Herbstreit's public insinuation that Caleb Williams isn't preparing at an optimal level is a problem. Because it's the same garbage Black quarterbacks have had to deal with since there have been Black quarterbacks. athlonsports.com/nfl/chicago-be…

Don't expect NFL to ditch DEI efforts because of societal trends or political pressure. "We didn’t get into this because it’s a trend and we’re not getting out of it because it’s a trend," Roger Goodell said. "We’re in it because it makes the NFL better."

If the players had all the control, they'd be paid. The reason why college sports is so chaotic is because amateurism is no longer a viable legal defense, yet colleges don't want athlete unions that bargain rules that, ironically, would give schools control and prevent lawsuits.
Ross Dellenger@RossDellenger

Kirk Herbstreit on GameDay: “We’re all for the players getting paid, but we’re not all for the players having all the control. We went from one extreme where the players didn’t have a lot of control to now the players having all the control.”
