Over the years, I’ve built an audience that spans countries, US, India, UK, Canada, Australia and beyond. Not by targeting regions, not by chasing trends in specific geographies, but simply by sharing photographs that resonated with people, wherever they were. That’s always been the most rewarding part of this platform for me. A frame shot in one corner of the world finding meaning in another. A moment, a mood, a story; connecting with someone I may never meet, in a place I may never visit. I’m not here for politics, local or international. I do consume it, like most people, but I don’t engage with it here. Photography, for me, has always been a quieter, more universal language. It doesn’t need alignment by geography to be understood. If anything, the internet, and platforms like this, felt powerful because they removed those boundaries. They allowed creators to find their audience organically, across borders, across cultures, across perspectives. Weighting visibility toward a “home region” changes that equation. It nudges creators toward thinking locally, when many of us have spent years building something inherently global. The audience snapshot I’m sharing reflects that journey. It wasn’t engineered. It wasn’t optimised for any one country. It grew naturally, around a shared interest. And that’s what I value. For me, the purpose of being here has never been to speak to a region. It’s been to connect with people, anywhere, who see something in the work. I hope that doesn’t get lost.
