Healthy relationships are built on compromise, not threats. Using the wedding as leverage to gain access to an inheritance suggests a desire for control rather than a desire for partnership. You don't need to hand over a personal inheritance to "start fresh." A fresh start begins with the income and assets you build together from the wedding day forward. In many jurisdictions, an inheritance kept in a separate account remains separate property. The moment it is moved into a joint account, it becomes "commingled," and the spouse may become legally entitled to half of it if the marriage ends. If a partner is willing to walk away from a life with you because they can't have immediate access to your grandparents' money, let them walk. It is better to be 36 and single with your security intact than 40 and divorced having lost your family's legacy to someone who pressured you into giving it up. My 2 cents! You're welcome 😊

On Saturday last week, something happened in Barkin Ladi that should have shaken the conscience of the world. At least eight innocent people were killed and eight others injured after terrorists invaded the community, about 30 miles south of Jos, Plateau State. But behind those numbers are real human lives. People who woke up that morning with plans. Parents who kissed their children goodbye. Families who never imagined that night would come too soon. In a matter of moments, everything was taken. Homes that once carried laughter became places of screaming silence. Children were left in shock, staring at what no child should ever see. Communities were forced to bury their loved ones in tears that words cannot explain. And just when you think the pain should be allowed to settle… Just when you think people should be allowed to breathe again… Today, Wednesday May 13, 2026, the same Barkin Ladi has been attacked again. No warning that healing time is over. No mercy for the wounded hearts still trying to recover from the last massacre. No compassion for children still waking up in fear from what they saw days ago. It feels like trauma is being forced on top of trauma. Like grief is not allowed to rest. Like the people are being punished again and again for simply existing. How does a place bury its dead and still have to fear for tomorrow? How does a mother cry over one loss and then face another attack before her tears even dry? How does a child understand why safety keeps disappearing from their hands? What kind of darkness is this that does not pause even for mourning? What kind of hearts carry out such acts without trembling? Which god do these evil doers claim to worship that human life carries no value at all to them? Sometimes words fail… because what is happening feels beyond words. It feels like a land is slowly being stretched beyond its breaking point. Families are not just losing people… they are losing peace, losing sleep, losing the ability to feel safe in their own homes. Plateau State is bleeding from wounds that are not given time to heal. Nigeria is crying under the weight of repeated sorrow. And innocent people are paying a price they never chose. But even in this pain, we refuse silence. We will keep speaking. We will keep telling these stories. We will keep crying out until the world cannot pretend not to hear anymore. Because these are not statistics. These are human beings. These are children, parents, families—lives that mattered. Please… pray for Nigeria. Pray for Plateau State. Pray for the broken families still trying to survive what they cannot explain. Pray for the children who now sleep with fear as their closest companion. Nigeria is bleeding… and it cannot be ignored any longer. 💔🇳🇬

Dear APC supporters, With all you have witnessed in the last almost 14 years, please can you give us one reason why people should vote for APC? 1. You're not better financially. 2. You're not safer. 3. More family members call you to beg for money. 4. Young men can't raise a family. 5. You can't travel safely on our roads. 6. Yahoo and prostitution have been on an all time high. 7. We are the poverty capital of the world. 8. People get kidnapped everyday. 9. Innocent people are beheaded. 10. Your president hardly grants press interviews. 11. Suspected criminals are being given pass to contest for primaries. 12. Police officers are killing citizens in broad daylight. 13. Our debt profile has increased despite removal of subsidy. 14. More citizens have died from terrorism and banditory like never before. 15. Thugs and louts do not allow you vote. I can continue. What exactly should Nigerians use as yardstick to vote for you in 2027? End.

Man complains bitterly about the poor 1.3 billion Naira Smart School Governor Peter Mbah built in his village. What kind of wickedness is this? Peter Mbah will be too terrible if he comes for second tenure.

Education Challenge: Not Funding but failure of leadership and Accountability. The recent comments made by the Minister of Education are quite alarming. Despite receiving nearly 80% of educational donor funding over the last ten years, the North-West and North-East regions still show the lowest literacy and numeracy rates in Nigeria. This issue goes beyond just a lack of funding; it highlights failures in leadership, accountability, and governance. Financial resources alone do not guarantee proper education. What truly makes a difference in education is the responsible and transparent management of these funds, aimed at achieving tangible results and a genuine commitment to developing human capital. We cannot continue to commend government budgets, donor contributions, and various intervention programs while millions of children in Nigeria still lack basic reading and writing skills, which are essential for thriving in today's world. The real tragedy lies not just in the numbers, but in the lost potential of countless children whose futures are being compromised by systemic inefficiency and corruption. Nigeria’s most valuable asset is not its oil, politics, or propaganda. It resides in the human capital of our youth. A country that overlooks education is essentially setting itself up for cycles of poverty, insecurity, unemployment, and instability in the future. The Minister’s statement should prompt a national dialogue on how public funds and donor contributions are utilised. Every kobo spent on education must lead to clear improvements in literacy rates, school enrollment, teacher performance, and overall learning outcomes. Anything less is unacceptable. Countries that have developed successfully, or are on the fast track to development, have made substantial investments in education. Nations like China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Bangladesh have recognised the invaluable impact of education on progress and growth. Now, Nigeria must transition from mere discussions about education to achieving real outcomes. We need to construct schools, train teachers, modernise educational systems, enhance monitoring processes, and ensure every intervention directly benefits the children it is meant to serve, rather than being siphoned off by political intermediaries and bureaucratic systems. A nation’s progress is closely linked to the quality of its education system. A brighter future for Nigeria is achievable! -PO

"A group deadlier than Boko Haram will emerge, they will seize our farmland, rape our women, kill our people and their master will protect, defend and even arm them, because their sole agenda is to enslave us forever. Those who cannot see it now, will soon see it. The hatred in their souls for my people is legendary. They do not see us as humans. They kill, they slaughter, they burn and they destroy. Mindless bloodletting is in their DNA. My people are in trouble" - Mazi Nnamdi Kanu 2.12.2014

To get a job at UNTH Enugu, job seekers pay N2.5 million and above. Some will still pay this and not get the job. You see why incompetence thrives in our society? The system is so rotten and we must dismantle them.

We have been receiving constant negative report from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Uli, Anambra state on campusintegrity.ng of the Vice Chancellor introducing an app and forcing every student to pay N15,000 for it. To make matters worse, a deadline was attached to the payment, and any student unable to pay before the deadline is expected to pay ₦35,000 instead. An app that students doesn’t understand the purpose.

The medical students who wrote 2021-MB were forced to sort between N1m - N1.5m and those who refused to pay the money failed and were asked to withdraw. The Abia State Government are already investigating this. Justice will be served. We will restore integrity!
