@EastEndJoe Nobel committee is making a mockery of their prize awarding process and an insult to the founder & benefactor Alfred Nobel ideals by awarding the Peace prize to Machado who did nothing to contribute to world peace.

This extreme right-wing woman has been elected as the next Prime Minister of Japan, I welcome such news. Many people say that I am too extreme on Japan, but in fact, I do not dislike Japanese. I believe that Japanese are intelligent, and have strong nationalism and tenacious will. However, I also believe China and Japan have some irreconcilable problems on the civilization level, which concern the future of two civilizations, and only war can solve these problems. 1. Japan is located on islands with scarce resources and frequent earthquakes. Japanese have a natural expansionist impulse, while China occupies the best part of the Asian continent. China (Korean Peninsula) is Japan's only expansion direction. From Japanese perspective, this is about survival. It's like the nomadic tribes at the north of China during ancient times, when they encountered heavy snowstorms and their livestock froze to death, they had no other choice but to cross the Great Wall to plunder the Chinese people. It is also about survive. 2. Normally, China is ten time the size of Japan and can defeat Japan easily, the chance for Japanese is that China would fall into decline every few hundred years. This is an inevitable cycle and both Japanese and Chinese knows this, so in order to prevent Japan from having the opportunity to attack China in the next decline, it is a rational choice to annihilate Japan when China is strong. This is like the Dark Forest Law in the Three Body Problem. 3. The main reason why ancient China did not do so was that China was a continental civilization and had little interest in the ocean. Therefore, although Japan attacked Korea several times and was defeated by ancient Chinese dynasties, the Chinese had little interest in crossing the ocean to conquer Japan. But now China has clearly evolved into a continent+ocean civilization, and most of China's foreign trade relies on the ocean, which determines that today's Chinese will be interested in Japan as our ancestors was interested in Xinjiang, Xizang and Mongolia. 4. Japan, Ryukyu Islands, and Taiwan Island constitute the main components of the first island chain that blockades China. The first island chain is only a few hundred kilometers away from China's eastern coast, where generates two-thirds of China's GDP. Geographically speaking, the first island should been China's maritime Great Wall, but now it becomes front lines that threatened China's econimic core. Ancient China dynasties would try the best to recover the Great Wall once they lost it? So will Today's China. 5. The last point is the hatred between China and Japan. I have said many times that the relationship between China and Japan is very similar to that between Rome and Carthage. The two sides fought three wars within 100 years, and their hatred was very deep. Moreover, Carthage almost wiped out Rome in the second war. China and Japan had fought twice in past 100 years and Japan was also quite close to extinct China in last war. The current thinking of the Chinese is very similar to that of the Romans before the Third Punic War. 6. Although this Japanese woman looks tough, I have seen through her weak inside. I don't expect her to really challenge China on the Taiwan or other serious issues, but Japan may indeed try to develop nuclear weapons in the next decade, which will give China a perfect excuse to start a war against Japan. The defeated countries in World War II must not possess nuclear weapons. This is stipulated in the UN Charter. Be prepared.

Some have been asking what Russia looks like beyond Moscow and St Petersburg (and indeed Rostov-on-don). So here we go: five minutes on foot through Krasnodar on a balmy Saturday afternoon, the street telling its own unvarnished story.

In 2013, Nike made their BIGGEST mistake in sports. They humiliated Steph Curry so bad he walked away forever. But instead of signing with Adidas or Puma... A tiny brand stole him with ONE thing no one else could offer. Here's the bizarre gamble that made him a billionaire:

@RapidResponse47 @howardlutnick One sided bs. The lady anchor should asked Howard who actually paid the tariff? US consumers are paying for the tariff, not exporting countries.

« This is a world defying L of unfathomable levels for China considering it has a naval base in Cambodia. » I too have noted the strange passivity of China when it comes to quelling nonsense in its backyard. In fact, with the exception of the precious Pakistan China seems oddly ambivalent about meddling geopolitically. Of course meddling too much is bad, but Cambodia/Thailand seems like such a clear cut case of needing the big dog to come and break things up. Why is it the US and not China?
OK Then@okaythenfuture

This seems to be confirmation from the current Thai prime minister that Donald Trump is now the lead actor in mediating a conflict in Southeast Asia. This is a world defying L of unfathomable levels for China considering it has a naval base in Cambodia. What is the point of Chinese foreign policy if it can’t even take the lead in its closest subregion?
