Observations about Office Space or Fight Club are always that Gen X has nothing to cry about when it should be that they had it all and they were still miserable, so what are we fighting for really? If we go back to the end of history we will still just be miserable slaves.

@nappasan I understand that there are more lenses than juat auteur and that any interpretation is as much about the viewer as the artist but Toriyama has commented on why his art is like that. He just didn't have time on a weekly schedule to adjust to the new style as Goku grew up. (1/2)

I want to make it clear that this is not a criticism; there is something homoerotically sensual about how he draws male bodies, like emphases of oblique abdominals, showing lower bellies and bare feet and such. This differentiates his art from that of other official DB artists.

He’s not good at drawing female characters in general. It feels like he’s not interested in drawing them in the first place. You can constantly see the contrast between how he draws male characters’ bodies in excessive detail and how female ones are drawn rather passionlessly.

You're heart is in the right place but no need to pearl clutch over something as trivial as a YGO card.

Magician Girl the card is abstracted from her in the story because it was a card based on vague retellings of a lost period in history. The character in the card has no age.
