Not here to bash because I can understand where you're coming from but as an amateur chaser doing it for the thrill and to be able to report to NWS (instead of posting and all that for the "clout" aspect), what if the knowledgable chasers teams up with NWS and other orgs to help properly educate the new kids? Obviously some of them won't dare to listen which at that point, let em go on their way and report report report. For those who DO want to do it the right way, I think education needs expansion. The trainings provided within the skywarn classes are just too basic and I've met one kid who thought he knew everything just from finishing it. Just my thoughts on this. ❤️

Hot take: I am NOT better than anyone just because I work with national networks, I am a YouTuber, have spent tens of thousands of dollars on equipment, and this is my full time job. The 16 year old kid that is on his first chase has just as much right to be on the road as I.

I just might have to make a youtube video about a subject that's really heavy on my mind. I kept my mouth shut for awhile but it's getting hard to keep watching this.

It’s sad to see a once-respected brand lose its way. When you pivot from community-first to AI-generated content and "pay-to-play" metrics, the writing is on the wall. I’m grateful for the distance between myself and that project now. Authenticity can’t be automated.

And just like that the smash bros cinematic universe is alive.
