Finally found a docker image for #frigate that supports RKNN. Using the NPU for objection inference and the GPU for the ffmpegg streams running 6x1080p cameras and the #orangepi5 is handling it like a boss! Still impressed with what this hardware can handle.

Any suggestions on repairing an OG Xbox v1.6 Aladdin mod chip gone wrong? Every other solder point went flawless but this point in particular disappeared. @RetroConsoles @OGXboxProject @Modchip_Central

@AlizTheHax0r Exactly! I'm glad I dont have to manage on-prem anymore, but I loathed venter and all its quirks or flaws.

@Anonazombie Honestly the amount of resources that vcenter (or is it vsphere, the management one that they keep changing the name of ) soaks up is also a factor. So huge and so slow!

my esxi and vsphere licenses expired. No prob, I'll just buy new ones from VMUG. Problem is, vsphere 6 is no longe available. No prob, I'll just upgrade. But! the upgrade tools won't work because my setup isn't licensed! ARGH

@AlizTheHax0r Oof that is a load. The switch was hard, but I couldn't take the shrinking hardware support with licensing BS on top. Even ran proxmox on an ARM server for a while lol. I only mention it because the pci passthrough is painless.

@Anonazombie At the mo now I have 14k lines of python that handles VMs, a docker container in each VM, windows deployment, and bare metal with pxe (or to image file for RPI). I tried to make it easy to swap hypervisor when I wrote it but I bet I hit some edge cases that make it difficult :3

@Anonazombie I've got a load of deployment code I wrote to spin up VMs and deploy. I do wonder how much work it'd be to move, maybe it'd be worth it

@AlizTheHax0r It's not bad. Just ansible instead of vmware specific code with cloud-init. Was easier to move to tbh.
