Reform UK have pledged to build dozens of immigration detention centres in constituencies that vote Green. In a provocative move, Zia Yusuf said facilities designed to hold 24,000 people would be placed in areas where the public had backed a party committed to 'a world without borders'.  Under plans for a new 'Mass Deportation Act', local authorities would lose the power to block unwanted facilities, leaving local residents with few options but to accept the new centres. Reform has committed to deporting up to one million foreign nationals over five years if it gains power at the next election. Those identified for removal will be offered a plane ticket and £1,000 in cash to help them make a fresh start in their home country. Those who refuse will be detained for removal. Reform said the plan would require the ability to detain up to 24,000 people at any one time – almost ten times the capacity of existing immigration removal centres. Mr Yusuf, Reform's home affairs spokesman, said it was 'fair' to build the facilities in areas that had shown an enthusiasm for an open borders immigration policy. I wouldn’t give them any money to leave though just kick them out there not wanted here.

But even though boat arrivals are still at virtually zero here, we still have students with visas, people overstaying travel visas, people seeking asylum. Every country has processing.

If we want to import a Japanese surgeon, for example, it can be done up front, no problem. Like your old points system. Worked well.

You are talking about 'legal' migration, which is indeed a far bigger problem in terms of numbers. Legal migrants are the product of a compromised gov't. Nothing more. When it can be stopped in a day, why would any gov't inflict this upon it's own sovereign people? Blackmail and corruption are powerful things, and weak people are a blackmailers dream.

For the first time, a majority of voters across every major party support changing the voting system. It is not hard to see why. One party wins 63% of parliamentary seats on 34% of the vote. Millions of votes cast for other parties translate into almost nothing. First Past the Post was built for a two party system. Britain no longer has one. Today five parties poll in double digits, yet the voting system has not changed to reflect that. The public have worked that out.
