USMNT legend Landon Donovan admits the darkest time of his situational depression was when he went to Cambodia on a solo retreat and smoked some weed that may have been laced with opiates. 😳 He was speaking to Men’s Health magazine. “That was as an existential threat,” Donovan said in the interview. “It was drug induced. He traveled 8,000 miles from LA to an island resort off the coast of Cambodia— taking two planes, a three-hour car ride along lunar roads, and a boat to reach his final destination, Song Saa. Donovan wanted to go somewhere where no one could really knew who he was. It was a good trip overall that helped him mentally, but he did have some bad incidents like the one he opened up about.
