Fan of I, Robot by Isaac Asimov? I was re-reading his works recently (I'm up to Robots of Dawn) and decided to pick writing back up with my own take on AI. Starting with my first "I, AI" story called "Spare Cycles" (no AI was used to write this story): antjanus.com/ai/stories/spa…

It includes code snippets, live coding, fill-in-the-blank answers, reordering, etc. I'm so excited for it.

Super excited for my self-learning platform I'm building. I have a CC Skill that can generate a data structure for "courses" and so anything I want to learn, I just tell CC to convert it to this format. Then, I have this step-by-step process that can teach me

Whenever I join a company that doesn't use Jira, it's always a shitshow and they always switch to Jira + Confluence. Why? Because the pain of not having any PM system (or having an "indie" PM system) is greater than the pain of using Jira. Every time. :/
Dwayne@CtrlAltDwayne

I genuinely don't know how Atlassian is still alive. Every dev on earth hates Jira. They've made nothing but stupid acquisitions. Loom. Trello. DX. The Browser Company. Just collecting startups like Pokemon cards. Meanwhile the founders are sitting in their multi-million dollar properties while the company bleeds money. It's incredible.

Just to be clear, the issues it's trying to defer were specifically stated multiple times to be important and that CC shouldn't ignore it. Those instructions didn't survive even a single session...let alone compaction.

Way to hide this in a huge block of text. I'd be so mad if a human wrote a 5-page summary of their work and snuck this in.

Sometimes, I really hate how claude code hides issues. It'll be like "Everything is working! ✅ Main Issues Fixed" and then 30-40 lines above (out of view), it'll hide a failure and say stuff like: "The edge cases are rare." "These affect <3% of real-world scenarios"

I ended up buying the blu-ray player at my local Best Buy. But guess what? My local Best Buy doesn’t sell it anymore. It doesn’t sell voice recorders either. My local B&N doesn’t have the books I want. I feel forced to buy online and have to return like half the things I get

The worst is, Amazon doesn’t let you post this info in reviews. I ordered a $500 blu-ray player and got a different one and clearly used… Ordered a voice recorder for note-taking, arrived used 5 times in a row. Got new books that arrived with water damage.

Anthropic themselves found that vibecoding hinders SWEs ability to read, write, debug, and understand code. not only that, but AI generated code doesn’t result in a statistically significant increase in speed don’t let your managers scare you into increased productivity. show them this paper straight from Anthropic.

I was just thinking how great it'd be if Claude Code would "open" a side pane when you select an interactive component in the chat. select a collapsed file -> see a preview of the file select a collapsed command -> see the command output select an agent -> see the agent output

I tried to enter the FF franchise through its strongest contenders (IMO): IV, VII, X. I *liked* all of them but didn't love them. Decided to start with FF1 on the GBA instead. It was such an amazing experience. I even started a podcast to document it: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yaf…

I’m probably one of the only people today getting into Final Fantasy via the very first game, but I’ve always had a soft spot for these archaic RPGs. GBA port of FF1 & 2 is very solid. Beautiful pixel art and the ability to save anywhere makes it perfect for quick portable play.

Claude Code is amazing but it has real drawbacks -- skipped tests, dropped requirements, context rot. Here's what I've learned from the past year+ of real-world use. antjanus.com/ai/the-claude-…
