Our best model for text and typography, FLUX.2 [flex], is now up to 3x faster. FLUX.2 [flex] delivers highly accurate text rendering, custom typography, richer colors, and smoother visuals. We worked with @PrunaAI to make it up to 3x faster. Examples in the thread:

Zuck is onto something. I was forced to do 3000 lunges to cover the full length of a Caribbean beach. And I had the Meta Ray-Ban glasses on. Hold on. What’s the deal with the lunges? A 2-hour masochistic challenge to strengthen my mind (and my glutes). And the Ray-Bans? Strapping a GoPro to your head makes you look like an idiot, or a unicorn, especially on a trendy beach. So I chose elegance instead. To forget the excruciating pain in my legs, I needed something else to think about. And my mind kept coming back to these glasses and just how surprisingly good they turned out to be. So I spare you the lunges, here is the story (1/4) They look good For the first time ever, a pair of smart glasses crossed that thin line, going from creepy tech gadget to cool-looking glasses that just so happen to have cameras. Cameras that people barely notice by the way, and that’s the key point. Let’s be real. Yes, we do use sunglasses to protect our eyes. But the fundamental attribute, driving 99% of their pricing value, is whether they can make you look good. So checking that box is a big step forward! (2/4) Instant memories Hear me out. This is the killer feature that I did *not* expect. Not having to pull out your phone sounds like a nice-to-have type of thing. Kind of like having a 10-foot charging cable - yeah it can be handy, but does it reeeaaally change how you use your phone daily? Well I was wrong. It’s way more than that. It’s a guarantee that you won’t miss any incredible moment too fast to capture. Your kid makes a weird face that they 100% won’t repeat when you ask them to? "Click", saved. Catching your vegan friend secretly destroying a plate of juicy ribs? "Click", saved. Oh, and on top of that, you get the picture from a POV angle that captures the moment exactly as you’ve lived it. Clap, clap, clap, well played Meta, well played. To tell you the truth, the glasses made me realize all the photo opportunities I had been missing because of those few seconds it takes to get the phone from my pocket to a ready-to-shoot position. It definitely felt like a before/after moment for me. And if there is one thing I know as a product builder, it’s that when users start feeling like they can’t go back to life 'before' your product, you've got a winning formula in your hands. Oh, and while I've got my product builder hat on, let’s talk about the picture quality. It’s solid enough to not be an issue. Probably comparable to 2018-ish phone quality so nothing remarkable, but it gets the job done. A good reminder, that as long as you deliver an experience far beyond what’s already out there, not every single detail of your product has to be perfect. (3/4) I love buttons Using voice commands to control the glasses is cool, and downright indispensable in situations like driving, or when finishing up the greasy ribs leftovers from that fake vegan friend. But, in many cases, you don’t want people to know what you are doing. Not because you are a creep, but because you don’t want people to know your business. I would bet my arm that there has been an internal war at Meta between the no-button, minimalist, Steve Jobsian cultists, and a more reasonable faction in favor of a practical alternative to voice. I am glad the latter won (good call @DavidSven) (4/4) Sound stage The integrated speakers had no right to be that good. Granted I had zero expectations on that front, yet I find myself choosing these glasses over my pricey earbuds more often than not. The real aha moment comes when you realize you can enjoy a good sound without having a piece of plastic shoved into your ear canal, so you stay more connected to your surroundings. And sure, last gen earplugs all offer "awareness" or "ambient sound" mode, but use it at your own risk I guess. What works really for me is that sensation of sound bubble. The sound feels like a mini sound stage around your head. It’s great for calls, podcasts, and of course music, especially when you work out outside – although I am aware you may not have the chance to frequently workout on a pristine beach. Sorry! [condescending laugh] And before you ask, no, people nearby can't hear what you are listening to. They might hear something, but it's definitely too faint to make out. So relax, no one will know about your embarrassing playlist. ... Ok, I know I sound super positive, but that’s the result of a pleasant surprise. Yet this thing isn’t perfect yet. The vocal notifications are overwhelming and the voice controls are terribly limited. Criminally limited. I mean, in this LLM era? and coming from one of the most apt companies in the space? Come on. But you know what, I will go deeper on this in a different post. First, this one is getting too long and you may have forgotten that I was doing a 3000 lunges challenge. The whole point was to find an excuse to flex about that. Obviously. And then, because I shouldn’t do a rush job to explain why I genuinely believe Meta holds the key to create a *generational* product. For now, enjoy a few pics from that glorious day

@arkanthrope Ok! Alors fais attention à ta vitesse de lecture du HDD du nas Freebox. (Je le connais pas, doit y avoir des tests sur le net je suppose) car le goulot d'étranglement vient souvent du HDD de la source
