Today in Rock History May 18, 2017 Grunge icon Chris Cornell, 52, dies while on tour. Best known as Soundgarden’s frontman, the Seattle-born singer helped shape the city’s rock scene starting in the mid-1980s. Cornell was also the lead vocalist of Audioslave and had a successful solo career. His death was ruled a suicide by hanging. He left behind a powerful legacy of raw emotion, wide vocal range, and introspective songwriting that influenced generations of musicians.

This support will help launch a new phase of my research collecting saliva and dental calculus samples from pregnant women to generate pilot data for future studies. The goal is to better understand how maternal oral health and biological markers relate to pregnancy outcomes.
