Escalating violence displaced thousands of Chin, adding to concerns about increased level of atrocities & rights abuses and that more people will be displaced as Chin State as a result. New officials figure from Mizoram shows at least 30,000 have sought refuge since the coup.

Junta spokesman Zaw Min Tun said local PDF forces torched down 4 houses in Thantlang town while running away from their troops and they couldn’t stop the fire because PDF were shooting them. He said media organizations are writing “groundless accusations” towards military.

About 300 houses including two big churches of Thantlang town were burned down due to junta’s artilleries. Chin human rights organizations have demanded the U.N Security Council to convene an emergency meeting to address the situation. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

(2/3) Villagers in Phekhon, the border town of Shan and Kayah, are fleeing since Oct 27 as they got threatened by junta’s troops that their village will be torched down. About three people per day are being killed in Rakhine state, an alarming rate of crime in the state.

Myanmar junta arrested 12 suspects including a famous Monhinga shop owner, linked to latest bank robbery in Yangon downtown last week. Junta said about half of the robbed money would go to NUG to buy the explosives & ammunition to support PDFs according to their investigation.
