@Anthonius000 Aliniamentul din primavara lui '44 inca e cat se poate de real aici in botosani si iasi. transeele sunt la fel de usor de recunoscut ca tumulii de acum 15000 de ani.

For the Western campaign in Czechoslovakia and Austria, the 2nd Tank Regiment had fought mainly German units, however, Hungarian units (infantry and tanks) did make appearances, mostly in the Slovakian region. In one case, 10 tanks with German Tigers were holding Mlady Haj.

@thepunishedemp Nu am sursele la îndemână/detalii mai specifice,41 pentru eliberarea Basarabiei (Chișinău la 16 iulie doar de tancuri singure), apoi Odesa. 42 la Cotul Donului și 43 în Crimeea. Nu neg în niciun fel, doar am vrut să postez câte ceva despre campania din 45 pentru tanchiști.

@Anthonius000 si nu a fost "actiune" in martie 42 sau 43 ? eu am poze cu bunicul si dromaderul din stepa kalmuca din 42. si medalii de la un unchi comandant de regiment de artilerie care a fost si la stalingrad si la budapesta.

@thepunishedemp Ambele surse (Dumitru și Ienceanu) au prima parte despre frontul din Moldova în primăvara și vara lui 44, să nu crezi ca n-au luptat împotriva sovieticilor. Îți recomand cu drag să le încerci.

@thepunishedemp Pentru ca folosesc memoriile celor care au luptat in ultimele luni. Fiind faptul ca au început la sfârșitul lui martie am zis să postez pentru zilele în care au avut acțiune.

@g78057729 There was an idea in the rulers vision (for some of them at least). I remember Michael the Brave saying to his men about the Romans before a battle to encourage them. Despot Vodă too said something similar about the continuation of Romans.

@hinatariadesu Funny that, we are among the few whose leadership never claimed to be successors to Rome, throughout history.

Another time (infantry I think) at the Devinska Nova Ves bridgehead, where at least two battalions were Hungarian. During this battle the Regiment had no wounded/killed. The battle was a total success. I will give the details/enemy casualties later.

This Axis defense didn’t last. A German bomber shot down fell in their area. The Tigers had to leave, the Hungarian mediums remaining alone. Ion Dumitru seeing the scene , attacked with his platoon. The Hungarians panicked and fled, losing 2 destroyed and 2 damaged that got away.
