@The_Davos_Man "Pol Pot's communist regime" You mean the CIA backed and US armed dictatorship that actively opposed communists both inside Cambodia and in the region? You'll blame tankies for everything, man!

A big compromise has been made in Springfield: The Illinois House passes a bill that would designate the Italian Beef as the state sandwich with the Horseshoe -- a Springfield creation -- as the official open-faced sandwich of Illinois.

DC has one of the most oppressive summer climates in the world. Walking around the federal core -- or downtown DC -- in July or August is absolutely punishing. The Trump administration should be planting as many trees as possible around the National Mall and narrowing roads with pedestrian paths and trees -- not building a stupid arch.

Many Catholics are choosing to obey the Pope over the President on matters of politics. This is what Protestants rejected, categorically, in the Reformation. Popes have no jurisdiction in the USA.

New Jersey’s NJ Transit is currently planning to charge more than $100 for return rail tickets from New York’s Pennsylvania Station to MetLife Stadium for FIFA World Cup games. According to people familiar with the plans, who asked to remain anonymous in order to protect relationships, a return ticket purchased via NJ Transit, New Jersey’s transportation provider, is currently modelled for more than a seven-fold increase from its usual prices during the World Cup this summer. The 18-mile rail journey, which includes a stop at Secaucus station, ordinarily costs $12.90 for a return ticket — the same pricing for the FIFA Club World Cup final last summer. The new special event pricing, however, is due to come into effect for the World Cup and is currently due to be over $100. 📝 @AdamCrafton_ 🔗 nyti.ms/425RIfk
