@PaulSpetrini @nytimes Hi there, This example proves my point: when a fighter can’t go the distance, they should step aside. RBG was diagnosed with colon cancer in 99 and pancreatic cancer 10 years later. She should have retired during the Obama Admin.

@WalshFreedom ….so we should just toss everyone because they reach a certain age? Respectfully, if a fighter can go another round — if he can still throw a punch & stand his ground — why not let him fight? Ability and mental acuity should be the deciding factor, in my humble opinion

This is just plain wrong. And self-serving. It was never intended to be a lifetime position. Clyburn should retire. And let a new voice serve. Same with Chuck Grassley & all other career politicians (Republican & Democrat) who’ve been in Congress since the Industrial Revolution.

You don't stop a fight because of the round number. If a fighter can go another round — if he can still throw a punch & stand his ground — you let him fight. (I see you @ClyburnSC06). Age isn’t the question. Ability is.

@kadiagoba This debate about age w/n the Dem party misses the point. **It’s about capacity.** Can you still fight — really fight — for your constituents? Clyburn at 85? Still in the game. Maxine Waters? Still swinging. That’s the bar. Meet it? Run Can’t? Step aside.

If it was fair game to grill Fani Willis about her relationship with Nathan Wade, it is absolutely fair game for @RepKamlagerDove to ask Kristi Noem if she is sleeping with her subordinate Corey Lewandowski
CSPAN@cspan

.@RepKamlagerDove: "Secretary Noem, at any time during your tenure…have you had sexual relations with Corey Lewandowski?" Noem: "That is garbage and it is offensive that you have brought that up." Kamlager-Dove: "It is about your judgment and decision-making."

But the affordability crisis is a "hoax" WSJ (gift link): More Americans are digging into their retirement savings because of financial emergencies. The data paint a divergent financial picture of American workers’ finances. wsj.com/personal-finan…

@kylegriffin1 Fun Fact: Trump's AGs last, on average, 21 months. Bondi is at month 13 — and 5 GOPers just joined Dems to subpoena her over Epstein. She's been on thin ice since she 'whiffed' — Susie Wiles' word — on the files early on. Prediction: gone by Labor Day. Festivus at the latest.

@AGPamBondi This raid is a frontal assault on the 1st Amendment. Hannah provided a secure channel for whistleblowers to expose the corrupt & immoral subversion of the presidency, and THAT is why she was targeted.

Attorney General Pamela Bondi
This past week, at the request of the Department of War, the Department of Justice and FBI executed a search warrant at the home of a Washington Post journalist who was obtaining and reporting classified and illegally leaked information from a Pentagon contractor. The leaker is currently behind bars. I am proud to work alongside Secretary Hegseth on this effort. The Trump Administration will not tolerate illegal leaks of classified information that, when reported, pose a grave risk to our Nation’s national security and the brave men and women who are serving our country.

Using law enforcement to intimidate journalists doesn't just silence one voice; it creates a chilling effect designed to blind the public and muzzle the free press. nytimes.com/2026/01/14/us/…

generally speaking, prosecution is a high bar, relying on a # of factors (evidence, witness cred, etc.) also of note, from recent nyt reporting: "she falsely advertised herself in 2017 as 18 years old on a website that matches men looking for “companionship” with young women looking to make money."

Tucker Carlson: What's AOC like? Matt Gaetz: Before Jan. 6, she was incredibly chummy with Republicans in Congress… Carlson: Did you ever date her? Gaetz: No Carlson: Did you try? Gaetz: No. Not my cup of tea. Carlson, moments later on AOC: You can’t be in charge of anything if you’re a terrified little girl.

@atrupar 🤔 This doesn't pass the smell test. If true, then move her to a prison *with the same security level* like FCI Aliceville in AL or FCI Danbury in CT. The Trump DOJ is giving Ghislaine Maxwell preferential treatment and the real Q is why?
