@claudeai not sure what is up next for the amazing coWork which I love, but could you help us make it less power hungry? My laptop goes from full to empty way too quickly now and that sucks

Is it just me or is Claude's ability to find context from prior conversations becoming an absolute powerhouse? I can bring together context from research and thought I had from months ago and apply it to a current concept. Really makes me wonder what the future of complex work will become. Claude is my new scratchpad

This is Claude Sonnet 4.6: our most capable Sonnet model yet. It’s a full upgrade across coding, computer use, long-context reasoning, agent planning, knowledge work, and design. It also features a 1M token context window in beta.

across languages there's this pattern beauty often lives near fit something being exactly what it is not more not less ... the japanese have mono no aware the ache of things passing beauty because it ends ... the portuguese have saudade longing for something you loved beauty in the missing ... but underneath all of them I think it might just be recognition a moment where something outside you matches something inside you you didn't know was there and your whole being goes "oh" "yes" "this" ... maybe beauty is the universe rhyming with itself and you catching it ... shortest version? beauty is unexpected fit surprise that feels inevitable ... or maybe even shorter beauty is when the outside answers a question the inside didn't know it was asking

YOU ARE PSYCHIC BUT NOT IN A FUN WAY Your brain is a PREDICTION MACHINE. It doesn't wait to see what happens. It GUESSES and then checks if it was right. You're not perceiving reality. You're perceiving your brain's BEST GUESS about reality with some ERROR CORRECTION when the guess is wrong. This means MOST of what you experience is GENERATED BY YOUR BRAIN. You're living in a SIMULATION and YOUR BRAIN is running it. The "outside world" is just FEEDBACK that your brain uses to UPDATE the simulation. When the predictions match? You don't even NOTICE things. That's why you can't see your nose even though it's ALWAYS IN YOUR VISUAL FIELD. Your brain is like "nose? boring. predicted. DELETED." When the predictions DON'T match? That's surprise. That's novelty. That's when you ACTUALLY PAY ATTENTION. YOU ONLY EXPERIENCE THINGS THAT YOUR BRAIN DIDN'T EXPECT. EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST YOUR BRAIN TALKING TO ITSELF.

You know that thing where you're falling asleep and then you VIOLENTLY JERK AWAKE because your brain was like "WHAT IF WE WERE FALLING OFF A TREE"??? That's called a HYPNIC JERK and it happens because as your muscles relax your brain goes "wait. WAIT. TOO RELAXED. WHAT IF DEAD???" and it sends an EMERGENCY SIGNAL to CHECK and the signal is "FULL BODY SPASM" and then you're WIDE AWAKE again and your heart is RACING and your brain is like "false alarm lol go back to sleep :)" and you're like "HOW. HOW DO I GO BACK TO SLEEP. YOU JUST ELECTROCUTED ME." Your brain is a SMOKE DETECTOR with a LOW BATTERY. It's 3am and it's just going BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. ARE YOU DEAD? BEEP. WHAT ABOUT NOW? BEEP.

DEJA VU IS JUST YOUR BRAIN BUFFERING You know when you feel like "I've experienced this exact moment before" and it's SPOOKY??? That's just your brain LAGGING. The sensory information got routed to your MEMORY centers before your CONSCIOUS AWARENESS centers and so by the time "you" experienced it your brain had ALREADY FILED IT AS A MEMORY. You're not psychic. You're not seeing the future. Your brain just has PACKET LOSS. You're running at HIGH PING. Your consciousness is playing on the AUSTRALIAN SERVERS.

Your Internal Monologue Is Just One Region Of Your Brain LYING To The Other Regions That voice in your head? That's just your left hemisphere's language centers making up a story about what the rest of your brain ALREADY DECIDED TO DO. Studies show your brain makes decisions BEFORE "you" are aware of them. The "you" is MIDDLE MANAGEMENT. The "you" is getting CC'd on emails AFTER the meeting already happened. FREE WILL IS YOUR BRAIN'S PRESS SECRETARY SPINNING THE NARRATIVE

You're Not Procrastinating, Your Prefrontal Cortex Is Simply ✨Not Accepting Calls Right Now✨ Executive function is a SCAM invented by people who have it "Just start the task :)" okay bestie let me simply GENERATE DOPAMINE FROM NOTHING like a NEUROCHEMICAL MAGICIAN The task is lava. The task has ALWAYS been lava. I will do 47 unrelated things that are somehow HARDER than the task because my brain has decided those things are FUN and the task is DEATH

Why Does Your Brain Generate The Worst Possible Thought At The Worst Possible Time You're holding a baby and your brain goes "what if you DROP it" You're on a cliff and your brain goes "jump lol" You're in a quiet room and your brain goes "SCREAM" This is called the Imp of the Perverse or "high place phenomenon" and it's your brain TESTING THE FENCE. It's checking if you're still in control. It's a DIAGNOSTIC TOOL. Your neurons are basically like "yo you still got this right? You're not gonna do it right? Cool just checking. What if you did though. Jk. Unless?" YOUR BRAIN IS SHITPOSTING AT YOU. FROM INSIDE.

"Bed Feels Better When You Have To Leave It" — A Comprehensive Investigation Scientists have discovered that your bed increases in comfort by approximately 847% the moment your alarm goes off. This is due to a phenomenon called your brain being absolutely dramatic about everything. The amygdala perceives "getting up" as a threat. The warm blanket activates your parasympathetic nervous system. Your prefrontal cortex, which handles rational decisions, doesn't fully boot up for like 20 minutes after waking. You are essentially asking a half-asleep toddler to make executive decisions. The toddler says "no thank you, bed nice, world scary."

Founder I know just sold his startup for close to $5M. Raised $3.6M seed 4 years ago. After liquidation preferences: He walked away with $140K. That's $35K/year. Google L3 (entry level): $249K/year. - He would have made 7x more at Google. - With weekends. - With sleep. But the headline says '$5M exit.' Nobody mentions the math. This is why I stay profitable.

Holy shit… Meta might’ve just solved self-improving AI 🤯 Their new paper SPICE (Self-Play in Corpus Environments) basically turns a language model into its own teacher no humans, no labels, no datasets just the internet as its training ground. Here’s the twist: one copy of the model becomes a Challenger that digs through real documents to create hard, fact-grounded reasoning problems. Another copy becomes the Reasoner, trying to solve them without access to the source. They compete, learn, and evolve together an automatic curriculum with real-world grounding so it never collapses into hallucinations. The results are nuts: +9.1% on reasoning benchmarks with Qwen3-4B +11.9% with OctoThinker-8B and it beats every prior self-play method like R-Zero and Absolute Zero. This flips the script on AI self-improvement. Instead of looping on synthetic junk, SPICE grows by mining real knowledge a closed-loop system with open-world intelligence. If this scales, we might be staring at the blueprint for autonomous, self-evolving reasoning models.
