Yesterday, April 3rd, I clocked another year on the journey of life, and as I start a new day - I am writing to say a sincere and very big thank you for all the beautiful birthday messages, show of love and prayers. I am truly overwhelmed by the countless wishes, blessings and messages. It was a great day and I am grateful to you for the love and support. Birthdays are a special time for reflection and celebration, and your prayers and kind messages have added immensely to the joy of my birthday. On this day, I wish to reaffirm my commitment to do more for humanity. I look forward to working together with everyone to help build a better world for our generation and future generations. 2025 / 2026 Premier League: E.E Lions Receive Massive Financial Boost from Chairman Amb. Anthony Navo;Jr. Yesterday, I had a productive meeting with the E.E Lions family including the squad, staff, coaches, managers and fans. We also welcomed Moses Bankolay Coker back to the squad after a long injury sojourn. We discussed the team’s preparation for the upcoming matches, our determination to win more trophies and plans for the future. Since I became Chairman, we have worked together to ensure that our club continues to occupy the place it deserves because of its rich football history and what it represents for millions of people. That is why we are investing more and providing every possible financial and technical resources to the team. In addition to the ongoing construction of our playing facility at the Trade Centre , I am pleased to announce that we have allocated billons of additional funding to the Square, in pursuit of 2025 / 2026 Premier League title. Players will receive a significant increase of more than 100% over the previous year. E.E Lions Football Club remains one of the the most solid clubs in the world of sport in the Africa region. And I am confident that with our capacity for growth and innovation, with the new investment, and with the ambition that characterised our club’s values and winning mentality “ the killers”, we will continue to be the champions and remain one of Sierra Leone leading clubs in the coming years. Last week, I visited the Capitol. It was a great honour to witness sessions during my visit to the United States Capitol building, the powerful seat of power. Finding myself within the beautiful walls of the Capitol building reminded me of my humble background—born in the local Fourah Bay community in Freetown—but with sincerity, determination, and hard work, I am now able to go places I could never have imagined. Indeed, dreams do come true. Let me use this opportunity to thank my good people in the US for making it possible. I also had the honour of being the keynote speaker at the annual AWOL USA awards ceremony, where I encouraged our brothers and sisters in the diaspora to continue playing their part in building our beautiful Sierra Leone. “U Na God? Mortal Man Noto God, Bra!” -Musa Tombo. Indeed, “Mortal Man Noto God.” I am excited to see our beloved East End Lions ( E.E Lions) football club leading the Premier League Table. As Club Chairman, I was happy to watch the impressive performance of our team E.E Lions against Kamboi Eagles FC. We won (3 -2). This impressive win has taken our club to the top of league table, with 2 points ahead of second place Banthal FC. I must be a lucky gentleman to be in the midst of 2 great lions celebrating success. Both my club ( E.E Lions) my school (Prince of Wales) use the lion as a powerful symbol for success. Last week, I was part of the massive celebration of the Prince of Wales school centenary, with the Lion roaring in the streets of Freetown. And this week, I witnessed the East End Lions team defeating the Eagle of Kenema (Kamboi Eagles). It’s a lion’s win for both my school and club. CONGRATULATIONS! Our 2025 Umrah Journey. Alhamdulillahi Rabillahlamin. Thursday, March 13 - Mrs Haja Navo Esq,(my beloved wife) and I successfully performed Umrah in the holy land of Mecca. Today, Friday 14th March - we joined millions of Muslims across the world for Jumah prayers in Mecca. Our 2025 Umrah has been a wonderful journey, a new experience added to our previous trips to this holy land over the past years. On this trip, we were able to travel through Madina to Mecca and had the opportunity to learn more about Islam and historical teachings during our 4hrs road trip. It was a great experience. We thank Allah for this opportunity. We appreciate Dr Amadu Wurie, Lecturer at the University of Madina for facilitating this wonderful journey from Madina to Mecca, and for hosting us on a conducted tour of the University of Madina. Thank you for being such a wonderful host. This land is indeed blessed. Coming to the holy land is a huge blessing. We encourage everyone to come and experience the blessing of this holy journey. May Allah accept our Umrah. Ameen 🙏

AYV Wins Big at SLAJ Awards 2023 AYV won TV of the Year 2023, TV Presenter of the Year 2023 (Phebean Swill), SLAJ Presidential Award 2023 (Mamaja Jalloh -DJ Base), Journalist of the Year 2023 /Media Personality of the Year 2023 (Amadu Lamrana Bah). Saturday, 2nd March 2024, was a huge and memorable day for Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire. I started the AYV journey with a passion to provide employement for young people and make a difference in the media landscape in Sierra Leone. AYV was established in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) report, which calls for a credible media space to engage and empower our people by promoting a society that respects and upholds individual rights, as well as the right to freedom of expression, and access to information. We appreciate that our hard work continues to be recognised and rewarded. We are honoured to have received numerous awards from the *Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) Annual National Awards 2023*. This is as a result of the tireless efforts of our entire team.
