@brawday These are the things that would go immediately in the event of an independent Scotland. Austerity would be the name of the game. When Ireland became independent, the first thing that they cut was the old age pension.

Yesterday the band had the honour and privilege to parade in memory of the 36th (Ulster) Division to commemorate the 110th Anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. In this clip the band played our newest selection, The Glaswegian. We Shall Remember Them

@Englishremnant @gameograham At the Battle of the Somme, the Sixteenth and Tenth divisions formed from Irish Nationalist volunteers lost 5000 men. The 36th Division formed from Carson’s UVF lost 2000 men.

@scotfamparty Yet again the SNP passed legislation not fit for purpose. This is very similar to the Offensive Football Act 2012 which did not secure one conviction despite many arrests. How much of tax payers money will continue to be wasted by these charlatans

Rose Docherty's case for standing outside a hospital with a sign saying "Coercion is a crime. Here to talk, only if you want" has been dismissed in court. The prosecution failed to provide evidence that anyone was present for the purposes of accessing or providing abortion who could have been influenced by Rose's placard. We are surprised that the law has been interpreted this way, as are the Police and the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service. The Sheriff stated that the case could be brought before a court again if there was evidence of a particular person who could have been influenced. We expect that NHS staff will come forward and declare themselves to be the victims in such cases in the future. It might still even happen with Rose's case. Two points to make: Parliament has passed a law and the Procurator Fiscal Service and a Sheriff cannot agree on what it means. This surely demonstrates incompetence. If the legal experts disagree so fundamentally on the interpretation, what chance has the woman on the street got? Lastly, this is still a law to criminalise those trying to save the lives of babies in the womb.

@jbceltic7604 The Offensive Behaviour Football Act where mainly Celtic supporters were arrested and criminalised was also the fault of the SNP government. Be careful what you wish for.

@JimSpenceDundee This stuff reminds me of Bertie Ahearn’s Ireland in the early 2000s when he promised giveaway gimmicks at every election and then bankrupted Ireland in 2008.

@blackfordian1 @theSNP @MathesonMichael Could you kindly ask Kirsten not to ring my elderly mother’s doorbell in future which clearly has a Police sign on it saying ‘No Cold Calling’ which she clearly disregarded.

It was a very productive morning in Netherlee and many encouraging conversations in support of Kirsten Oswald in her campaign to be elected for @theSNP . A real pleasure to be out campaigning with colleagues and in particular old friends @MathesonMichael and Duncan McLean.

@Stephen4_2 Read Alfie’s book recently and he claimed he signed for Jock Stein. Said he wouldn’t do it again as the hassle was not worth it. Was very bitter about how Celtic binned him and gave him a free transfer.

@tamrabam1 Very true. My father would watch Celtic regularly but only attended a handful of Scotland matches due to this. He said that Fans would chant for Willie Henderson(good player) to replace Jimmy Johnstone. The SFA were also biased against many Celtic players.

Rape Crisis was told by SNP ministers to abandon a campaign because Alex Salmond’s sexual assault court case was coming up. An academic was forced to stand down from a charity because she feared the SNP would cut off funds if the party became aware of her views on gender The SNP ploughed millions of pounds into drug charities that would support its controversial policies, such as “fix rooms” Alcohol charities which relied on the SNP for the majority of their funding acted as “the Praetorian Guard of the SNP” over the party’s key policy: minimum unit pricing for alcohol

A note on the Jordan Linden case. In 2022 I broke the story about Linden sexually assaulting a young man 3 years earlier. The SNP denied all knowledge until I presented them with evidence of a complaint being made. Even after the original story broke they denied its accuracy.

@JimSpenceDundee @Mark1957 Anti- Catholicism is still the only acceptable prejudice in Scotland. Was certainly espoused by the SNP until recently via shouts to close Catholic schools. Still favoured by their bed-fellows, the Scottish Greens and appeared in their election leaflets until recently.
