If you’re curious about extinct, giant lemurs from Madagascar, check out our paper on the paleogenome of Megaladapis edwardsi! A collaborative effort that complements previous aDNA, morphological and isotopic work pnas.org/content/118/26…

We integrated skeletal and aDNA data for 167 individuals to understand health across the shift to farming, representing a snapshot of this dynamic and nuanced process (pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…). The project was a team effort and I’m fortunate to have worked with awesome people!

REMINDER: #ancientDNA Journal club is on Friday at 12PM EST! Please join the discussion on an #ethics form created for #ancient & historic samples... Everyone is welcome!
PSU Ancient Biomolecules Research Enviro (PSABRE)@PSU_aDNA

Our next #ancientDNA journal club will not focus the discussion on a recent paper, instead a longtime attendee will be presenting. Jessica Hider from McMaster University will present the #ethics review board form they have created for #ancient & historic samples... 1/2

It’s out, in gorgeous published form @PLOSGenetics! 🥳We investigated longstanding anthropological hypotheses about evolutionary changes in human body size & shape sex differences following the agricultural transition using genetic data from the UK Biobank journals.plos.org/plosgenetics/a…
