@TNPATRIOT1978 @SenTuberville This is a correct observation, but it fails to address the core issue at stake right now. Every past president for decades has waged war without a declaration of War from Congress. And it’s a sign that we’ve probably lost our Republic. But it’s not peculiar to this situation.

@SenTuberville How can we be at war when the Congress didn't vote on it? Does the voice of the people in THIS FUCKING COUNTY EVEN MATTER ANYMORE

We are at WAR with the largest state sponsor of terrorism—IRAN. Yet Democrats REFUSE to reopen DHS, the department created to help STOP terrorists. The Left hates President Trump so much that they’d rather destroy our national security than see him win.

@BskiMike22802 They’re betting on a redux of the GWOT. …I’ll say that more plainly: Democrats want thousands of soldiers, marines, and other servicemen dead and dismembered - so they can score political points against Trump. This is their ideal outcome of the current operation in Iran.

Democratic senators sat in a CLASSIFIED briefing on Operation Epic Fury. Then walked straight to the cameras and told Iran, Russia, and China that our military has 'no plan,' 'no strategy,' and is losing. The military that just killed Khamenei. I wrote about what that means — for the troops, for their families, and for 54,000 combat-wounded veterans still waiting on the Major Richard Star Act. This one is going to make you angry. Read it anyway.

@WallStreetApes This actually should help us focus and be more patient with our fellow humans on the Left. So many people were brought up in a culture that encourages graft, corruption, and nepotism…and some made it to the top. Most are still trying to process the fact that they were lied to.

This will blow your mind New York City Council member Vickie Paladino explains how much non profit work goes towards political infrastructure - New York City pumps over $16 billion annually through nonprofits - 18% of all private sector jobs in New York City are 2 nonprofits - 34% of foreign born are nonprofit workers - 1/3 of the Bronx is nonprofits - 21% of Brooklyn nonprofits - 56% people of color, nonprofits - 57% of nonprofit workers are under the age of 40 “My mouth is on the floor” “These are the exact demographics that vote voted Democrat between 75- 85%. “It's all political infrastructure. Every bit of it” “It's all funneling money. It's funneling money to the Democratic party. Where do you think the Democrats get their money from? The Democrats get their money from the nonprofits”

@unusual_whales It’s not false. He’s Commander in Chief. The question itself was also very stupid as the “intelligence community” is made up of individuals who don’t provide a consensus determination. They provide intel to the President who makes the final determination as Commander in Chief.
unusual_whales@unusual_whales

Senator Ossoff: "Was it the assessment of the Intelligence Community that there was an 'imminent nuclear threat' posed by the Iranian regime?" Gabbard: "The only person who can determine what is and is not a threat is the President—" Ossoff: "False."

@Ab83126691 @unusual_whales False! The Intelligence Community must control the President’s every decision - just like they did with senile incompetent Joe Biden. “Come on, man!”

@unusual_whales Well done Senator. Struggling to believe Gabbard actually said its upto the president to decide whats an imminent threat. What exactly is the Intel community doing if not that?

@gcochran99 @AnthonyJSisk @unusual_whales Gregory, (I like your name BTW - powerful.) The Commander in Chief is an office of the Constitution, and is held by the duly elected POTUS. It might drive clarity if you said “our current Commander in Chief” or “Trump,” unless you feel the office itself is pinheadish?

@defjoepass @unusual_whales Yes…and to narrow the “only”question maybe: Can we prosecute a major war successfully without our own infantry. This could impact the fate of infantry as a viable U.S. combat element forever, BTW. …I fear this war has a long way to go still. Pray for peace.

@unusual_whales We all know they are a threat. The only question is if you’re bold enough to confront the threat or you’re content to cower in fear until they make the first move. They’ve already told us they intend to.

@Cryptofructose @unusual_whales Love seeing some critical thinkers and curios minds in this thread. I’d posit that Trump is using the exact same authority as his past dozen predecessors. It’s TBD whether he chose correctly here. Most of this thread is tragicomedy from people who watch too much CNN.

@unusual_whales That exchange cuts to a core issue: who defines “imminent threat” and on what basis. Intelligence assessments inform the decision, but they’re not the decision itself, which is why disagreements like this surface so sharply in public hearings.

@unusual_whales gabbard claiming threat assessment is solely a presidential call is the kind of answer that gets replayed at a future impeachment hearing. ossoff's "false." did more damage with one word than the whole clip

@NValerie33 @unusual_whales When you say “we” is that from the perspective of someone who makes net payments to the federal government each year - or is this just a hot take from a government ward who lives off wealth transfer? Genuinely curious.

@unusual_whales When the Director of National Intelligence says only the President determines threats, that's not a constitutional argument. That's a job resignation letter.

@unusual_whales Gabbard, however, is articulating the cold, 21st century reality: Intelligence isn't a yes/no light switch; it’s a narrative tool used to justify a decision that has already been made.

@Emmyjayythomas @unusual_whales True! But unless you’re a partisan ass clown you would have to admit that every President in modern times has exercised the same power. Like it or not this time…or just say “I don’t like it with this particular President,” and quit the charades.

@ThCryptoCook @unusual_whales Nowhere in the Constitution (or anywhere else in the history of our Republic) has it been mandated that the President as Commander in Chief must act solely on the advice of Intelligence Agencies’ latest public reports. Please stop watching cable news.
