Learning from action is 10x more effective than doing courses and certifications. This is why in interviews your commercial experience is what matters. Certs from recognized sources can be useful - make sure to show practical application though.

@airatspace Yes, useful to remember that they're aren't picking "the best candidate ever", they are picking the one that suits them the best at that time for that money in that team. Too many things out of your control for you to worry about it

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you shouldn't base your salary expectations on published statistics. Doing so will almost guarantee that you're underpaid. Average salaries are one of the most useless statistics out there. Go get some offers.
