The 453rd Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) was inaugurated on 11th April 2026 by Shri Pabitra Margherita, Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles @PmargheritaBJP, in the august presence of Shri Anil Baluni, Hon’ble Member of Parliament at Kotdwar @anil_baluni in the Garhwal Lok Sabha Constituency, on 11th April 2026. As a special and symbolical gesture, passports were also handed over by the distinguished Chief Guest to some applicants who had just applied for passports at the new Post Office Passport Seva Kendra, Kotdwar. Delighted to be at the inauguration of Country's 453 rd Post Office Passport Seva Kendra. It was a pleasure receiving Hon'ble MoS, MEA Shri @PmargheritaBJP, who was the chief guest for the event. This seva kendra will cater to the passport requirements of the people of Puari Garhwal and adjoining districts. This will also considerably reduce the energy, time amd resources of applicants in the region, as they are not required to travel all the way to PSK Dehradun anymore. PSP Division led by JS( PSP) & CPO conducted a focused Legal Workshop for RPOs to enhance capacity in handling court cases and managing litigation effectively. From procedural clarity to strategic insights, the session aimed at building a more responsive and legally robust framework. The session was enriched by insights from learned ASGI Mr Narasimha Sharma and CGSC Mr Subbu Ranga Bharathi, who shared valuable perspectives on legal strategy and procedure.
