@Mitesh_Engr True. But that is true for any strategy with bad money management. On the bright side - it can give better (almost double from now) monthly returns on capital with safe high probability OTM sell setups with hedges combined with good money allocation per trade.

3000 qty with 10L capital One sudden up move will take away your capital as buying option will protect little only. Positional writing will become very risky with extra oversize position.

With the new margin rules chances are higher now to blow off account in a single wild move. Novice traders stay away from new rules. It’s like a high leverage game now.

@anirbanghoshsbi @Mitesh_Engr You did a bear call spread, which means your outlook was bearish. Not sure why your loss was higher than the max-loss, unless you tweaked the position exit timings manually or there was a bug. Also check OTM probability while selling options and don't follow tips blindly

@Mitesh_Engr Please dont tell me that I lost money , by selling call spread selling 9000 CE and buying 9200 CE , infact I lost on both part total loss 7K (sensibull said max loss 4.5K). Thanks in advance New to options.

So far April month is the easiest for option seller. Collapsing VIX helped sellers to make money easily. Don’t fall in trap if some one is showing you big profit for this month.

May 2017 memory. These are the few screenshots I had taken during that time. A period in which I had converted 20k to 26L from May 17 to June 17. That was exceptional case. Difficult to repeat It was a high leverage ICICI direct future plus SL trading where u can get 60X leverage

@bharatreddyg143 @Mitesh_Engr In short time/theta decay works against the option buyer. And even if the price moves slightly in your trade's direction, a volatility drop will cause the option prices to drop. Please do not underestimate the risks of naked option selling
