@vivbajaj We are using AI a LOT in our overall process of trading. For us, our process is the alpha so AI is helping us in our core. But as of now, it is not generating the actual trading signal if that is what you mean. But hopefully with time..

Anyone here who is genuinely using Ai for Trading with large capital and not Experimental Capital ? Kindly tag if you know anyone.

@bhogleharsha Many a time neither curators nor players know how pitch will behave. We need a global committee to transform test cricket where it is a mix of timebound goals and timeless cricket entwined to make it relevant.

@bhogleharsha As of now nobody knows what we want fro test cricket. The older generation and purists will claim that this is the original best form of cricket. Young generation has stopped following it and moved on to white ball. Pitches can be doctored at whims and fancies. 1/2

Whichever metric you choose to measure the game in, both teams getting bowled out on day 1 of a test match cannot be good for our game.

South Africa lead by 314 runs, technically two days left. And if you take out 10-12 overs to bad light each day, I suppose Bavuma would look at putting India in an hour before lunch tomorrow- maybe try and add 160-170 to 314 and ask India about 480-490 in a possible 120 overs What say? #IndvsSA

Securities Transaction Tax (STT) is the biggest tax that traders pay, and it's much higher than brokerage fees. At Zerodha, the STT we collect and pass on to the government is higher than the brokerage we earn. Trading volumes are highly sensitive to the STT. The level of STT also affects whether traders trade more in cash equities, futures, or options. There's a lot of concern that Indian options volumes have exploded; I don't think it would be a stretch to say that STT is a big factor in this. Until 2008, the STT on options was based on contract value, making it impossible for anyone to trade options. After that, STT was charged on the premium, and options became more cost-effective compared to futures, and volumes shot up. By the way, the idea of @zerodha came about when the STT for options was brought down to a premium value. The bet was that people would trade more options. It did play out the way we had thought it would. 😬 We've had several STT changes over the years. This has had a more significant impact on cash and futures than on options because STT was on premium value, and on cash/futures, it was on total value. And yes, the introduction of weekly expiry and restriction on intraday leverage for stocks added a lot of fuel to the fire of option trading volumes. So yeah, I wish we had no STT, but I guess that's not a solution. 😃 But if STT were brought down for cash and futures and intraday leverage were increased (from the minimum 20% now to as much as futures), I think the trading volumes in cash and futures would automatically go up. It is a much better strategy to increase cash/futures volumes than to reduce trading volumes in options.

@KP24 This is a lot of recency bias of England India series played on flat decks. Other than these pitches and probably Pakistan, test matches last only 3.5 days and all batsman barring 1-2 globally have poor averages.

Don’t shout at me but batting these days is way easier than 20/25 years ago! Probably twice as hard back then! Waqar, Shoaib, Akram, Mushtaq, Kumble, Srinath, Harbhajan, Donald, Pollock, Klusener, Gough, McGrath, Lee, Warne, Gillespie, Bond, Vettori, Cairns, Vaas, Murali, Curtley, Courtney and the list could go on and on… I’ve named 22 above. Please name me 10 modern day bowlers that can compare to the names above?
