₹1 lakh invested in Niftybees in January 2008 is worth ₹4.43 lakh today. 8.45% CAGR over 18 years. That same ₹1 lakh, switched between Niftybees and Goldbees using one trading rule, became ₹20.84 lakh. 18% CAGR. Here's the strategy details 🧵

Today, nearly 61% of 🇮🇳 households fall in the middle & upper-middle class segment (vs ~52% three years ago). By 2034, this is projected to hit 80%+ The consumption boom is entering its strongest decade. How are you playing this theme ? 💭

Gold was 2x from its 200DMA at its peak in 1980 it was at 1.25X in 2011 1.2x in 2020 and is at 1.3x currently. We are certainly very stretched currently... but there has also been much more stretched situations in history.

I have been the greatest Hindi film lover. Loved the films, the music, remember complete lyrics to most old songs, used films in so many finance examples. And yet over the last few years, the love is fading. I haven't gone to the theater in the longest time and even on OTT, struggle to finish many films. Is it me or is the quality of films worsening? I usually resort to watching the same old films again or older films that I may have missed. Or better yet, resorting to fiction books.

@a_basumallick A good proxy play to this much PLI will be rise of Recyclers like Gravita. The amount of Electronic waste that will be generated in coming decade seems to be an extremely large opportunity for licensed recyclers. Recycling/ waste disposal of electronics is a big opportunity

Hindenburg closure: Possible reasons: 1. It operated in a grey zone, publishing negative reports and taking short positions, including via hedge funds who were not disclosing their positions 2. Short sellers hardly ever make sustained profits. That is why the few who do , as for example in 2008, are celebrated so much. The rest make hardly any returns over the long term 3. Some regulatory action may have taken place and a way to skip penalties may be an agreement to quietly shut down. Hope they get prosecuted and are not let off so easily in case some regulatory or legal action is ongoing against them. 4. Damage has been done to companies, promoters and markets by targeted attacks from which they sought to benefit . 5. This was no altruistic, "truth seeking" endeavour, it was a model to benefit from issuing scathing reports on companies and promoters and simultaneously shorting them in advance of the release of these damaging reports. Wont be missed. Dismissed .

“I don’t think trading strategies are as vulnerable to not working if people know about them, as most traders believe. I always say you could publish rules in a newspaper and no one would follow them. The key is consistency and discipline.”- Richard Dennis. Tony Stark reposted.

@Panks_Arora What's the message? If we are saying that staying on rent makes more financial sense, then that's a well known fact. But buying a house is not usually a financial decision. There are emotions involved, and rightly so!

Bought a house in 2012 for Rs 86 lakh, which is now worth around Rs 1.70 crore. I took a home loan of Rs 50 lakh and paid the remaining Rs 36 lakh from my own funds. Total Interest Paid ~ 30 Lakhs EMI ~ 55k Instead, if I had rented the same type of property, I would have had to set aside 20k for the monthly rent and 10k for future rent increases. If the remaining savings of Rs 36 lakh and Rs 25 thousand monthly were put into SIP for 10 years in 2014. Average Return in Smallcap Category - Lumpsum Investment of 36L~ 2.70Cr - SIP of Rs 25k for 10 Years ~ 1.10 Cr - Total Investment Value 72L - Total Market Value 3.80 Cr
