@Edwina_Currie The UK has pretty much the same fuel duty as every country in western europe. Lower than many even.

@highpeakchris @Artemisfornow Balcony solar is the term given to small solar panel installations that you can simply plug in and go. Millions of people around Europe reduce their energy bills with them. My friend in Essen cuts their energy bill (1 bed flat) by about 15% with a one panel setup.

Ed’s new plan is plug in solar. Significant reductions is misinformation. Average kit costs £300-£600. It will take 3-7 years to pay back that cost in energy bill reduction. BUT … the plug in solar only has a 2 year warranty at best. All made in China using coal and oil 🤡

Where does Britain get its energy from? 39% from oil 32% from gas 10% from wind and a few odds and sods. This may come as a shock to renewables fans. Be gentle with them. It upsets their world view
