Apache Pekko has graduated from Apache Incubator and is now a TLP (Top Level Project) lists.apache.org/thread/grl5h0l… Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make this happen.

Apache Pekko 1.0.3-M1 is released! Ordinarily I wouldn't make an announcement for a patch release but this one is special because the major headline change is the capability to migrate from Akka to Pekko clusters as a rolling upgrade (see cwiki.apache.org/confluence/dis…).

When Slick 3.5.0 will be released with Scala 3 artifacts then Scala 3 support will be added and there are ideas to use ReactiveMongo for Pekko Connectors MongoDB which is currently working on Scala 3 support.

Regarding Scala 3, all modules in Pekko Connectors barring 2 have Scala 3 support with the exceptions being Pekko Connectors Slick and Pekko Connectors MongoDB due to underling libraries missing Scala 3 support. Scala 3 support in Persistence JDBC is also missing for same reason.

Apache Pekko Http also includes Scala 3.3 support, the result of an ongoing community effort that spanned years!

Pekko 1.0.1 has been released, it contains a single fix regarding fixing class names that break the JVM/Scala spec (see github.com/apache/incubat…). While we haven't any issues with Pekko 1.0.0, its recommended to update tot this patch version as soon as you can.

Pekko-Http-Cors (formerly Akka-Http-Cors) has been mainlined into the core Apache Pekko-Http project. It will be included on the first release of Apache Pekko-Http and is already included in the latest snapshot. Many thanks to @LomigMegard for donating the code!
