@Strnasty And the government wouldn’t be choosing who gets credit at what rate, I mean a simple rate ceiling that’s probably gonna be around 20%, if they can’t make billions with something that simple, well then they’re relying on predation methods to the morons of the world.

@Strnasty Definitely more intricacies than just high rates bad low rates good, but at it’s baseline it’s hard to argue ‘high rates good’. Seems like it’s weird nobody has done that, 15% interest on top of charging 5 to the businesses should be more than profitable itself.

1) CC companies would likely charge a monthly fee tiered by credit score.
2) Getting approved would be more difficult
3) Issuer initiated card cancellations will skyrocket

@Strnasty You’re probably right, it’ll never happen or they’ll ’agree to cap the interest rates at 25%’ or something as 10 is most likely the negotiating cellar. And I guess it’s people’s rights to live in debt too, I just think I can absolutely see this helping a chunk of those people too

@Strnasty Yeah I mean I could get behind the thought that it’s fair for what’s paid off, if they weren’t charging the 3-5% of every single transaction to the business’ too. Even if everybody paid their balance off they’re guaranteeing that much up front already.

@Apags_12 See to me if two companies hold 70% means the rates are more than likely fair for what's paid off. CC to some % of population is basically a high risk loan. If it were egregious other companies would be undercutting.
Cap CC at 10%? Visa rebrands to a 'loan card' or something 😂

@Strnasty That’s all fair, and I agree it’s a self inflicted wound. But the fact that 2 companies hold 70+% of the credit cards/debt, idk man. Feels monopolistic and predatory at those ridiculous rates. Considering 28% is average, maybe 10% is too extreme though.

@Apags_12 Politics now is mostly pandering and increasingly overreaching. If someone needs this or the gov to make hotels add a resort fee into the nightly price, it's laughable.
Credit card debt is a self-inflicted wound. Where do we draw the line on protecting people from themselves?

@OhioF50 @JDRhoaddog @NEOZoneHS I couldn’t agree more, but it a sense that was my point. They could play with/win all the way up in D3 or D4 so I understand why a 16 seed from D7 doesn’t want any part of it. Anyway love the work you do and really missed the site when you were down for a few years!

After today's Massillon/McKinley game was close, Marion Local moved up to #2 in my overall rankings. It is rare for any small school to make the top ten, but (at least) the Flyers, Coldwater, & then-D5 Ursuline have done it before. (1/)

Out in western Ohio, Marion Local has finally found its first round opponent after three other teams declined playoff births.
The Flyers enter the playoffs on a 58 game winning streak.

The latest Region 28 saga - Lockland, Cedarville, and New Miami have all declined 16 seed playoff spots, therefore Ft. Recovery is next up and has officially accepted to play Marion Local in round one.

@JDRhoaddog @NEOZoneHS I’m with you man, but considering MSML would probably be a favorite in 5-6 of the 7 divisions (@OhioF50 has them rated #2 overall in the state) to win it, let alone down in D7…I ‘kinda’ get it. But I highly doubt any of the kids made that decision.
