Ren reaches into his bag and produces a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. Well, it didn't look like a lighter, at least. It instead had the playing card ace of spades emblazoned on it. He handed her the entire pack and the lighter. “ I got carton back at my place. ”

“ Are you like this when you have to charge them? I'd offer you a cigarette, but you probably do the crazy flavored vapes, right? ” Seeing her whine was...endearing? Would that be the right word? It was almost endearing to him.

“ You can buy multiple. Like, if they have enough in stock, you can buy more than one. That's how most places do it, anyways. Are you for real right now? ” She 𝘩𝘢𝘴 to be fucking with him, right? She's smart, and 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦. No way she doesn't know.

“ Jesus Christ, you don't need to yell. Ever thought of joining a metal band, though? ” Ren massages his ear as it rings from her shouting. She can project well, he can give her that much. “ Okay, but a vape isn't weird so I still don't see the problem here. ”

“ Charging me? Like, money? Or are you gonna try and tackle me? The context is important. ” He stands there, brows furrowed as his expression changes to confusion. “ How the fuck is it weird? Pretty much everyone shops online these days. ”

Giving her a stare. “ You know you can buy from trusted sources, right? You're sounding paranoid. Also, I have a feeling you shouldn't be calling others 'freaks'. Something tells me you're not exactly vanilla. ”

“ You know exactly what. You're not stupid, and you're not innocent either. ” He's not falling for it.

“ that's exactly why people order shot online. so they don't have to deal with people. there's way weirder shit you can order on there too. ”

“ Seriously? ” An exasperated sigh left the ravenet at her reasoning. Yeah, he really should've expected nothing less from her. “ At least you're being upfront about it, but it can't be that hard to find a damn vape, can it? What, you can't order it online? ”

“ And you can't buy new ones because? ” He had a feeling he knew why, but he didn't say it, simply because she'd get pissy and end the conversation.
